Boxwood Netsuke of Two Monkeys on a Giant Bell scrubbing with a brush and rinsing. Well carved details to hands and feet. Meiji Period (mid 1850's). Length 1.75 inches.

A pair of silk applique roundels for a robe mounted on paper, embroidered in Peking knot and gold thread. Showing auspicious symbols and bats, dating to the late Qing period. Condition: slightly faded. Dimension: 20 cm diameter.

A very rare shape Yuan qingbai square dragon ewer, square shape with up raising spout and sragon handle, ewer decorated with molded flower motif and find shape of dragon handle, covered with good bluish white qingbai glaze.
Ewer is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration.

Hard porcelain dish from the Arita kilns. Decor painted in cobalt blue underglaze high-fire. A couple of fallow deer are represented in an autumnal landscape. It would seem that the female is reluctant to fall mating because she is lying down while the male at her side rears up desperately to attract attention. In the background clouds (erotic symbol of the "game of clouds and rain") and a maple tree for autumn. On the right a weeping willow tree symbol of lovers...

A circular form rising to a shallow point at the center, this jingasa is made of hide and cloth shaped in a mold, then finally black lacquered. It is decorated in front with a gold lacquered mon of an enzo which represents eternity. Mounted on a custom iron stand.

A rather unusual glazed Chinese yixing tea pot. Traditionally, mixing tea posts are unglazed and this pot combines unglazed sections, such as the interior and the glazes that encompass the exterior side of the pot. The pot contains a seal on both the undersides of the lid and pot, of the maker attributing to Zhao Jingnan. Zhao Jingnan was a noted artist specializing in producing fixing and zhisha tea wares during the Qing Dynasty...

Chinese Nephrite Jade Toggle, boy holding branch tightly, 2 3/4" high, 1 3/8 wide, 1" deep, light Celadon color, nice old patina. The condition is good, no damage.

Naturalistic crayfish made of copper from the Meiji period, 1868 -1912. The piece is unusual in that the legs, antennae, and tail move in the same way that a real crayfish moves. It is signed Shinju on the base of the body. It measures 6" long.

Tall Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period baluster form floor vase decorated in underglaze blue against a faintly celadon-gray tinted white background with a phoenix bird standing on rockery among flowers. Two applied handles are at the neck. 22 3/8" high. Late 19th century. Very good overall condition. There are fine old hairline cracks to the base. From the collection of an elderly Tucson, Arizona couple.

Pencil annotations at base. Crease upper right side, small margin tears. Can be viewed in central London and shipped worldwide. See the example in the Royal Collection Trust ref number RCIN 618757. Amazing boro cloth which is one side of body part of noragi (farm wear). The ground cloth as well as mending patches are hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dyed. Sashiko thread is also indigo dyed cotton. Asa (hemp) thread is seen in the side seam and that means it is rather old. The second half of the 19th century. 32cm x 184cm
