An antique Japanese 3 section Isho Tansu made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. Upper section has two sliding doors behind which is a 1/2 split level shelf with 3 side by side drawers below. Center and bottom sections each have 2 large drawers for abundant clothes storage. All original bronze and iron hardware with an acquired original patina.

This is an extremely rare Egyptian wood carving of the god Ptah-Sokar-Osiris with a plumed crown and ram horns. It dates to 664-525 BC. It measures 57.7 cm in height (22.7"), 23.3 cm at its widest and 10.2 cm at its greatest depth. The wood has 6 different pigments that have been painted onto the wood in intricate designs. Antique bronze Krishna in the pose of playing a flute. Krishna charmingly lets his head fall to one side as he plays a flute or other wind instrument. His head is topped with a stuppa like head covering. He wears very light weight garments. Obtained from Katmandu in the 1960s, made in the 20th century. It measures 9.25" tall base 3.5" diameter

This lovely perfume vessel with beautiful patina has survived the centuries with its beauty intact. The flattened body rising to a firm and graceful cylindrical neck with a rim folded outwards.

One of the earliest types of free blown-glass vessels in an elongated bottle with a short body and a long neck. The content of such bottles could be poured out slowly, in tiny drops, and the small mouth was easily stoppered...

Height approximately 26 cm/each. There are old repairs at one vase. There is a production repair (made at the time of manufacture). Polished and cleaned. In good condition.

Chinese unglazed pottery jar with impressed, cross-hatch decoration, four lug handles and flat base. 5 1/4” high x 6 3/4” diameter. Warring States period (475-221 B.C.) or possibly earlier. Very good overall condition with typical wear and soiling. From the private collection of a former American expatriate to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987.

This is a very fine, Qianlong Era (1730 - 1796) , flattened, of spade form Snuff Bottle with a round short neck, concave mouth, and flat concave oval footing. Made of a rare natural Cherry Amber, which is thought to be another form of Jet, with dark inclusions. Its sides are decorated with Foo Dog Masks with short, semi-circular handles, common on bottles made during the Early Qianlong period. The bottle is well-hollowed, with very thin walls, thus, very light in weight (0.4 ounces)...

This is a large and heavy ancient Chinese nephrite scepter or adze.Measuring slightly more than a foot in length, the piece has two beveled ends, suggesting that it may have been intended for actual use, as opposed to a ritual item. As you will see in the photographs, there is a shallow groove that runs the entire length of the piece, possibly for attaching or securing some sort of handle (?). The stone itself is a mottled green and brown nephrite. Guaranteed ancient.

DESCRIPTION: A large polychromed wood figure of Saint Martin De Porres, Peruvian, 18th C. Here he is depicted gazing upward toward heaven, arms outstretched, wearing his Dominican robe embroidered in gold with a long painted rosary dangling past his waist. His white undergarment is richly painted with flowers and gold leafy tendrils. Carved in full round, his head is set with glass eyes and he retains a good amount of the original paint...
