A nice greek funeral figure, likely Southern Italy, c. 4th. century BC.

She is seated, depicted veiled, and playing on a tympanum, leaning slightly back.

Size: 10,5 cm. tall.

Condition: Intact, uncleaned with encrustations.

A wood brush pot was in nice form.
It was well preserved despite the bottom cover was lost and was replaced by an old plank of wood.
The surface was in kind of dry-feel and in pale tint. But I believe it can be transformed easily by rubbing with wood wax and changed to a beautifulcolor.

Date: late Qing to early republic periods, 19th/20th C.

Enoch Wood historical Staffordshire dark blue transfer plate, Moulin sur la Marne a Charenton, from the French series. Circa 1825. Pearlware with grapevine border and with pottery's impressed WOOD mark and underglaze blue pattern name. Size: 9 1/8" diameter. Near perfect pair of fuschia colored silk Chinese lotus shoes for bound feet. Each shoe is embroidered with delicate gold couching and a silk satin stitched butterfly. In excellent condition they have been packed and stored in a box for the past century. Color is vibrant having not been exposed to sunlight.
