An intriguing six panelled moulded saucer dish with the “two oxen on a bridge” pattern...

A dish in the form of an auspicious Manchurian Red Crowned Crane decorated in green, black and iron red enamels with gilding. Dating Kyoho in period circa 1710-30. The dish measures approximately 17cm in wingspan and approximately 13 cm from tail to head. It is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration some very minor wear to the enamels and kiln flaws. Shipping at Cost

A Compete Set of Five Pair of Diamond Brass Candlesticks. The Original Three Pairs (Ace of Diamonds, King of Diamonds and Queen of Diamonds) were Designed to Commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee (1837-1897). The Remaining Two Pairs (Prince of Diamonds and Princess of Diamonds) came out in 1901, after Victoria's Death. There are several ding and scratches on the individual pieces, but overall in very good condition. The full set is a rare occurrence.

A very unusual Bohemian zwischengoldglass liquor glass, the bottom featuring an inset gilt and enameled design of a ladybug. The panel cutting along the beaker’s sides causes the design to be visually repeated. Small beakers such as these are normally decorated with a flower. This is the only example we’ve seen with an insect. The ladybug traditionally symbolizes good luck, so perhaps that's why it appears here.

This is an old traditional style top shirt which would have been worn by a young girl of the Yi Chinese ethnic minority from Yunnan Province. the fabric is made from home grown cotton, hand spun, and hand woven. The collar surround and cuffs are trimmed with an intricate batik pattern and the tiniest embroidery stitched I have ever seen. The shirt has its original buttons. Good size for framing 14 inches across the chest.

A quite large perfect potted jarlet, glazed with an nice bluegreen "Guan" glaze. The piece is very decorative because of the color of the Celadon glaze and the striking and unusual deep crackles in the glaze ( please look at the enlargements ) Song - Yuan Dynasty, Longquan ware. Diameter : 8,3 cm. H : 6,9 cm. Condition : Perfect

A very rare scroll weight resp. paper weight made from glass and painted with a very pleasing romantic landscape . This painting is done in a typical Qianlong manner on a opaque white glaze and is covered with a thick layer of transparent glaze. Qianlong Period ( 1736 - 1795 ) On the back side of the piece is something like a very small signature which can be seen on the last enlargement. L : 17,5 cm. B : 3,3 cm. H : 1,2 cm. Condition : Perfect.

Fine Famille Rose Teapot Cover and a Stand. With petal moulding and applied with Lotus stems, leaves and flowers. Decorated in bright enamels with flowering peony. Chinese Yongzheng C1730/40. Chinese Famille Rose Sugar Bowl and Cover. The petal moulded base and lid with applied Lotus stems, leaves and flowers. Decorated in bright enamels with flowering peony. Yongzheng C1730/40. Chinese Blue and White Ginger Jar and wood cover. The jar decorated with panels of precious objects on a prunus and cracked ice ground. Kangxi L17thC Height 8" (20.3cm) Condition: excellent, no damage, some wear to glaze.

Chinese Blue and White Dish decorated in underglaze blue with a Dutch river scene. A copy of the Japanese Arita C1700 dishes decorated with a version of the design by the Dutch Delft decorator Frederik Van Frytom. The English Bow factory also copied this design in the mid 18thC. Qianlong C1740/50. Diameter 4 3/4" (12.1cm) Perfect condition.

Well painted Famille Rose jar and cover. Decorated with a scene of Immortals and attendants. Chinese 19thC. Height 7 3/8" (18.7cm). Condition: excellent. The lid has a prefiring bruise under the glaze in the rim 1.3cm.

Japanese bronze vase with flaring rim. The slender body with a coiled Dragon in relief. 19thC. Height 8 5/8" (21.9cm). Condition: very good.

A Song or earlier pottery or proto-porcelain ewer, the tall neck with concentric raised bands running around,the c-shaped strap handle with twin raised beads to the outside, a short spout to the other shoulder. A rare ovoid vase on high flaring foot painted in shades of underglaze blue and made in China for export to Europe during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). Condition: there is "fritting" (production glaze loss) to the base (please view enlargements) and there are very minor glaze imperfections; there are no cracks and there has been no restoration. 14.5cm (5.7inches) high.

A large Kansai area issho tansu made from keyaki and sugi woods. Copper handles are used on the sliding door panels and a special cabinet with a lock is set on the bottom area of the chest. Tansu such as these were often placed in the private quarters of the home and clothes, family documents, and important objects were placed inside. Of hexagonal section mounted on raised bracket feet, the six faces of the body curved and the upright,, flat mouth, also hexagonal, inlaid in silver wire on the sides with auspicious plant, deer, crane medallions within key fret and diaper-work borders, on the legs with flower scroll, the body of the censer secured to the bracket support- plinth by an iron joint...

Chinese Canton Enamel Small Plate decorated with a stylised Lotus scroll. The reverse with fruit and flowers. Gilt rim and foot. 18thC. Dia. 7 1/4" (18.5cm). Condition: usual stress lines, small chip 0.5cm to rim, slight wear to gilding.

Pair of Rare Famille Rose plates attractively decorated with Twin Boys. C1735/45. Dia.8 3/4" (22.3cm). Condition: first plate with some flaking to enamels and 0.35cm shallow flake to underside of rim. Second plate with 3.2 cm hairline crack to rim and 0.5cm bruise to underside of rim.

An Indonesian Mask carved in the form of a monkey. The mask is carved into two separate section, one is the top area of the head and the bottom is the jaw area. The mask is attached with a head covering made from strips of leather. The islands of Java and Bali are the two key regions that have the art of mask dancing often depicting religious stories. The body of the bowl is covered with a thick greenish-creamy-grey glaze whose surface appears like old polished marble. The crackles in the glaze are very attractive. Most probably Ming Dynasty, sixteenth century or earlier. Diameter : 14,6 cm. H : 7,2 cm. Condition : Perfect.

Beautiful Japanese antique highly carved butsudan panel, carved with scene of two dragons in swirling clouds and crashing waves, black and gilt lacquer with details in red, the eyes of the dragons are made of reverse painted glass, framed in black lacquer frame with copper hardware. This piece was once a ranma or transom over the interior doors of a large Buddhist butsudan shrine. Meiji Period. Size: 9" high x 44" long. Carving is up to 3" deep.
