Ancient Holy Land. circa.50 B.C to 50 A.D. Time of Jesus and King Herod the Great Terracotta Oil lamp with round conical body and a large central filling hole with a raised ring border and Three Flame nozzles.

CONDITION: Unbroken, with some chips on outer edge and inner ring. Nice patina, showing the age and usage, sooty nozzles from original use, some spots with old wax deposits on the surface.

DESCRIPTION: An early 19th C. three door country New England corner cupboard in original dark blue paint with reddish trim. The interior is washed with a pale green milk paint and has three shelves in the upper portion and storage space in the bottom. Two door panels have age cracks to the wood. A superb piece for a country interior. DIMENSIONS: 71 1/2" high x 41 1/2" wide x 19 1/2" deep.

This set of 6 porcelain pot de crèmes, or hot chocolate cups, was produced in France before 1870. They are unmarked as much of Paris porcelain is. This is an extremely rare pure gold 23K gold cup from Colombia. It is 3 1/2" tall. It has been hammered paper thin and has some crinkling. I purchased it in 1986 from dealer Royce Hubert.

This very well carved early 20th century Japanese netsuke is three quarters of an inch high, 1 3/8 inches wide and 1 ½ inches deep. It depicts two playful mice sitting in a woven basket. Both mice have inlayed horn eyes. It is signed “Shozan”. It is in excellent condition.
