A wonderful antique decorative pair of oval ornate Victorian period sterling silver bowls or baskets, fully hallmarked London, England 1895-96. These high style late Victorian dishes measure 6-3/4" x 5", and are just over 1" deep. They have high relief repousse Gothic designs and pierce-work panels, and they have a W.R.C. maker's mark for William Richard Corke. There is also a British registry number stamped in the rim of both bowls - it looks like RD. 248864...

A White porcelain ware figurine of a Japanese puppy. The puppy has a small hole in its' neck, and an open mouth, and functions as a water dropper. Water droppers were used by a scholar to add water to the ink stone when mixing ink. The puppy is very attractive with Hirado style pierced eyes, large ears, modeled toe nails and a raised left foot. The puppy measures about 4" high x 5" long x 3 1/2" wide and dates to the late 19th, early 20th Centuries. The condition is excellent/perfect...

A very good sterling silver wine bottle or decanter coaster by Gorham. The flared lip is heavily decorated with a floral scrolled border in the Rococo style. The repousse decoration is finely done. The bottom of the coaster is fully hallmarked with one of the older Gorham hallmarks, the design copyright date 1889, the pattern number 325 and the date symbol for 1891.

Japanese Edo period woodblock print by Toyokuni III (also known as Kunisada) depicting the actor Ichikawa Danjuro VIII in the role of Daiku Yoshiro. This image is Station 45: "Ishiyakuchi" from the series "Actors at the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" published by Tsutaya Kichizo in 1852/3. Very nice impression quality and color. Beautiful set of six sterling silver seafood forks in terrific Art Nouveau pattern by Joseph Seymour. Each piece is covered from the tip of the handle to the very beginnings of the tines with curves and stylized chrysanthemum-like blossoms in the Japonaise style. The tines are nicely curved and barbed. The backs are hallmarked by Seymour.

An elegant and rare set of nine sterling silver demitasse spoons in Whiting’s highly desirable 1898 “Pompadour” pattern. The bowls have lemony traces of the original matte gilding. The handles are ornately decorated and have never been monogrammed. The backs are marked with Whiting’s hallmark.

19th century Japanese Asakusa school staghorn kiseruzutsu - tobacco pipe case - of elegant simple shape with medium relief carving of a jar containg an ikebana arrangement with lotus leaf and 2 different flowers, channel for hanging carved under the upper flower. Excellent carving and etching, beautiful wear and patina, clever use of outer texture of the antler as element of design, in great condition. Length 8 inches.

Pair of 18th to early 19th century Japanese sword menuki each depicting a sitting spotted usagi (rabbit) with its ears spread widely to the sides. Great design with somehow funny faces. Bronze with black, copper and silver patinas. Overall in great condition for two hundred years old pieces. Length 1.28 inches.

Small Hindu altar representing a female deity sitting on a platform backed by an arch. Bronze, with fine green patina. India, 19th century. Height: 4 1/8" (10,5 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition.

18th century votive Indian bronze sculpture depicting the mother goddess Durga slaying the buffalo demon, and a small figure of her mount on her left- a roaring lion - biting the side of the demon Durga is the most powerful female deity in the Hindu pantheon. She has a spear in one front hand, and is grabbing the hair of Buffalo Demon Mahishasura with the other. In her back hands Durga holds various weapons symbolic of the attributes of all the gods given to her to slay the demon...

Antique 19th century Meiji period miniature Japanese Satsuma vase in the form of a small handled water bucket – Teoke. The exterior is finely hand painted with a group of 10 samurais, dressed in elaborated brocade kimonos, highlighted with gold. Punch bowl, a mid 19th century copy of the Chinese bowls made for the European market a hundred years earlier. The exterior dark blue and gilt with birds and vases in Famille Rose enamels in reserves, the interior with scattered flowers. Unmarked but most certainly made by Samson of Paris c 1880.
