This molded earthenware vase is glazed turquoise and amber over the upper portion, leaving the lower portion and base unglazed exposing the biscuit with auspicious symbols of animals and various other elements. The glaze stops at the mouth rim and the interior is unglazed. The turquoise glaze covers various floral designs while the one panel of amber glaze on the flaring upper body reveals a human form, probably a scholar official...
Two Dirk Van Erp Shell Casing Vases from the Mare Island period. The larger vase measures about 6 3/4" tall and 7 1/2" across. The smaller vase measures about 3 1/2" tall. Both show wear and irregularity at top. Good examples of his early work.

Derby porcelain spill vase in the Brocade pattern, one of the rarest, hardest to find, desirable and beautiful patterns made. The pattern was made for the Persian market of the period, c1810. The vase measures 3 1/2" high by 2 1/4" in diameter.

Wonderful to wear as a pendant this retractable pencil slides into an enameled gilded mummy. In the 1870s-1880s, the Egyptian Revival styles were in vogue as archaeological digs discovered ancient tombs that brought to light rare finds. Their motifs were incorporated into jewelry, objects, furniture, glass and pottery.

An 18k Gold key wind fancy case open face pocket watch with key circa 1900. This antique yellow gold 1-5/8" diameter watch has blued hands and a textured gold face. The ornately tooled and engraved case is stamped K18 on the crown and WARRANTED 18 CARAT 92971 inside the back. The dust cover also has this serial number along with CUIVRE J.D. The works are unmarked and they measure 1-7/16" across. The case snaps shut firmly front and back, it has the original key and it runs well...

This finely-carved, wooden netsuke depicts a basket of lotus florals. The himotoshi are carved in an interesting fashion on the underside. This piece is in excellent

DESCRIPTION: A fine Chinese boxwood water-well basket toggle, intricately carved in an acorn shape with a realistic and detailed basket weave pattern with carved wood rim. The arched overhead handle has a free-carved wood ring attached; the interior is hollowed out. Excellent condition, a beautiful toggle, 19th C.
