A Chinese 19 C. pearl shell beautifully pierced and carved with a dragon coiled all around. Its natural form and luminous surface with fine carving makes this object a joy to behold. age; 19 C. size: 18 cm. condition; very good indeed, no restoration, no breaks.

A rather unusual glazed Chinese yixing tea pot. Traditionally, mixing tea posts are unglazed and this pot combines unglazed sections, such as the interior and the glazes that encompass the exterior side of the pot. The pot contains a seal on both the undersides of the lid and pot, of the maker attributing to Zhao Jingnan. Zhao Jingnan was a noted artist specializing in producing fixing and zhisha tea wares during the Qing Dynasty...

Antique Continental 18thc mortar but no pestle, very nice antique for both display and kitchen use.

This is a well-painted Tibetan thanka depicting the Medicine Buddha. The painting is unframed and measures 10" X 12". Ample gold highlights, including the "aureole" surrounding the Buddha. Minor rubbing, as can be seen in the photos. In need of a good cleaning. Inscription on the reverse.

A beautiful Song dynasty Chinese candlestick circa 1100 to 1500 AD Measuring 8 inches high and 3 inches wide at base

This is a simple blue and white porcelain hand made spoon from 19th century China. It measures roughly 9.5 cm and is in good condition but may have minor chips. Makes a great conversation piece or decorative accent. I have several available.

A finely potted Hirado dish featuring three figures wearing capes and carrying heavy packages upon their backs descending down a high mountain trail. Inferred by the small gnarled Pine trees on the wayside. Although no particular scene is identifiable the figures are in Hokusai “style”. The reverse is painted with a Karakusa arabesque and has a single spur mark within the base of the footring. The dish dates to the late Edo period and the middle of the 19th century...

Cotton cloth, called "yu-age”, which is used for a newborn baby. It is ordered by parents of a mother as a congratulatory gift. It has tsutsugaki auspicious motifs, such as a crane, a turtle, pine tree, plum blooms and bamboos. Red part in the top corner is for wiping baby's face, because red color is thought to be good for baby's eyes. It is from Izumo region in Shimane prefecture. 18th century Indian bronze Shiva shrine from Western India in a form of a courtyard, the family of Shiva seated around a lingam, including his wife Parvati in her Annapurna manifestation and her son Ganesha, as well as Nandi bull and a seated figure of a shrine donor with offering in his hand.
