An interesting and very rare Wedjat Eye amulet in the openwork design and inscribed on the back with the cartouche of Cartouche of Maatkare (Hatshepsut), New Kingdom, ca. 1479–1458 B.C.
These Eye of Ra amulets are very rarely inscribed with cartouches on the back. This particular amulet is also of special interest since it bears the name of greatest female ruler in the history of the Dynasties, Hatshepsut.

Very refined earthenware vase, from the Satsuma kilns, with polychrome enamels, presents a decoration of courtesans (bijin) and a child under a flowering tree with on one side, in the background, a cottage at the foot of a hill. At the base of the collar, the shoulder is covered with chrysanthemum flowers. A barely legible mark under the base in a red lacquer cartouche, partly covered by a collector's label, could be attributed to Fujan (?). Height: 15 cm. Period: Meiji (1868-1912) 19/20th.
Globular in shape, on a nashiji gold lacquer base, the decoration represents pines and bamboo in gold and black hira maki-e, hedatsu and kirigane of vegetation at the edge of a watercourse and stylized medallions of chrysanthemums. This piece was made at the kiln in Henan pottery area. It is very popular to be called as "Henan tenmoku" which has black glaze with patterns of rusty glaze. The pattern tends to peel off because of overglaze, however this piece has patten clearly remained.

Large porcelain bowl, decoration painted in red iron oxide on cracked glaze, gold details. On the outside, Buddhist lions (Shishi) are represented moving among peonies. This is a beautiful complex wire and wireless Japanese cloisonne vase. Though it is not signed, it was made by Gonda Hirosuke during the Meiji Era, circa 1910. All pieces like this we ever seen signed have been signed Gonda. Very few of these wireless fish vases were made by Gonda.

A spectacular collapsed pottery jar from the Karatsu tradition with a purpose-warped wooden lid covered in powdered silver enclosed in a top quality ancient red-lacquered kiri-wood box lined with wave-patterned colored-paper. The ancient box has silver lacquer writing on the top reading Kodai Karatsu Tsubo, Kamakura Ki, Mizusashi (Ancient Karatsu Tsubo, Kamakura Period, Mizusashi).
