A large and beautiful Scandinavian style bronze Fibula decorated with knobs and profusely engraved, c. 8th.-9th. century AD.

Impressive piece of jevellery that comes out of a very old German collection.

Size: 76 mm. long!

Condition: Nice Very fine, missing iron needle and sound metal, mottled green patina.

Ex. Rudolf Rack, Bad Nauheim, near Frankfurt, collection formed from around 1950.

A lovely key for a treasury chest, late 15th.- early 16th. century.

A solidly built key with enforced bit and elaborately carved hollow stem and the oval bow decorated in the gothic manor with three globes. A rare key!

The decoration of Gothic iron locks and keys was often elaborate and of the highest standard of workmanship. The motifs were frequently drawn from Gothic architecture, reproducing on a miniature scale complicated tracery patterns and even tiny statuettes...

Large head of a nice Italian / Sicilian style, probably depicting Arethusa.

A high quality specimen of broadbladed silex axes, imitating the celts of the early European bronzeage, made in South East Denmark, during Late Neolithic to early bronzeage periods, ca. 1800-1600 BC.

The axe is partly polished and with visible seams, in a wonderful completely calsified silex stone, so with a fine white patina and iron-oxide markings. Tagged 92 with old collection tags, and with the finding place and date 1885 in pencil - a very early provenance for these...

A high quality and very large Byzantine / darkage bronze key, ca. 6th.-9th. century AD.

The key is finely made with a square bow withy protuding finial and a two-section hollow stem.

Size: 107 mm. long.

Condition: Extremely fine, superb with dark green enamel patina. A condition rarity as such.

Interesting and massive cylinder seal in a beige-white attractive stone, Mesopotamia, probably 2nd. millenium BC, provincial manifacture.

A rare depiction of a seated main deity or king at the table and a servant or lesser deity in front. A large fish is placed on the table and there's a three below and a crescent above.

A substantial upperpart of a casket or chest lock sculptured in bronze as a leaping / attacking Lion with open jaws, Roman, 1st.-3rd. cent. AD.

Very nice antiquity with fine details and a lovely green and red patina.

Size: 6,7 cm. long weighing a solid 81 grams.

A nice large/thick faience Ushabti, Third Intermediate Period, 21/22th dynasty (ca 1085-713BC)

A blue-green faience shabti, wearing the headband and two hoes. Inscribed with clear hieroglyphs at the lower front. Details are added in black.

Size: 128 mm. tall.

Condition: Near very fine, intact but with hairline reattached feet and some minor losses and corrosion with much uncleaned deposits.

A lovely finial of an Eagles head, European, Gothic style, renaissance, c. 16th. century or earlier, mounted as a part of an attractive double iron coat hook and plate, dated 1823.

The substantial finial still with remnants of old gilt and the iron coat hook, finely dated and initialized in the late 18th. century manor. A nice marriage, probably made in the late 18th.-early 19th. century.

Size: The finial measure c. 11 cm. in length. The coathook measure 24,5 cm...

A rare and superb condition iron key of an unusual length, European, Late Medieval, c. 14th century or a slightly earlier.

A large and impressive key of the c. 13th.-14th. century design with an oval bow and the stem ending in a long spike, but with the wide slotted bit placed just below the finial. A very complicated slot, possibly from a large oak casket.

Size: 14,1 cm...

Reddish limestone. Animal battle scene with crossing bulls and crescent moon standard, worshippers in between. A larger seal in an attractive red-orange stone. Isin-Larsa period, Old Babylonian, ca. 2002-1594 BC.

Height 26 mm and diameter is 13 cm., so fairly thick.

Condition: Very fine, smooth wear but intact with a nice patina.

Provenance: The Karl Müller collection, Germany 1950-1977. Comes with COA and his imprint.

A fine condition greek pottery amphora or Kantharos with black and red belt decorations, Southern Italian, c. 4th.-3rd. century BC.

The vessel with twin handles and very elegantly moulded and painted.

Size: c. 10,5 cm. tall and 13,8 cm. wide.

Condition: Choice Very fine, a few tiny edge chips othervise intact.

A high quality trapezoid stamp seal of the Neo-Babylonian type, 8th.-6th. cent. AD.

unusual and very beatiful stone used to carve this accomplished seal in antiquity. The stone is a banded agate with red inclusions, carved and polished in a an octagonal and pyramidal shape.

The seal engraved with a springing stagg or deer.

Size: 20 mm. tall and 18 mm. wide at the base.

Condition: Choice and intact, minor ancient wear...

A stunning terracotta figure of Horse and Rider, Parthian Empire, 1st-3rd. cent. AD.

The tall bearded figure emerging from the body of the horse, wearing folded cap, the horse with applied disc eyes, traces of decoration. Their bodies is blending into a single, triangular form, with the head and upper body of the man directly behind the horse’s head. Finely detailed features of a mature Parthian horseman, probably nobility.

Size: 111 mm. tall.

Condition: Choice...

A tanged 'Luristan' bronze dagger or short sword from Ancient Near East, Caspian Sea Area, Bronze age, dating to mid 2nd mill BC.

The sword with high, rounded shoulders and slight central midrib.

Length: c. 33,5 cm.

Condition: Fine green patina. Some roughness to the edges.

Ex. Private Collection in Denmark, formed in the 1990's.

A very attractive large Udjat eye amulet, Egyptian, and probably Late period, mid 1st. millenium BC.

The amulet is vcarved in a hard Diorite stone, very beautiful in hand.

Size: 26-27 mm. wide and very thick.

Condition: Choice and as made, the drill went wrong, visible at the back so the artist drilled another hole just beside the first one.

A lovely set of cylinder and stamp seal, mounted as a gold / gilt pendant - ex Oberländer collection, Uruk-Jemdet Nasr, 4th.-3rd. millenium BC.

The set includes a high quality Mesopotamian Jemdet Nasr period (3300-2900 BC) brown stone cylinder seal. The seal is finely engraved the 'eye' or circle/rhomboid form - a characteristic and significant design for the Period.
