Mystical Dzi beads have been implements of ancient Tibetan culture for thousands of years. They are believed to hold magical properties bringing prosperity and protection. This Dzi bead has a pattern of 8 white circles, or "heavenly eyes", considered one of the most sought after characteristics...

We love these royal blue mirror glass earrings which shine a brighter Bristol blue with the slightest head movement. the beveled hand carved edge is a lovely detail which was clearly time consuming for the maker. The plate glass factory at Vauxhall was known for its production of mirror glass, but in addition, the company employed skillful artisans to produce jewelry out of the remaining shards. Thus was created Vauxhall glass jewelry, much loved then and by collectors today...

Paper money did not exist in Joseon Dynasty Korea, and the coins were of very small denominations. They had to be strung together in large, heavy quantities to have any worth, so a strong money box was a necessity. This incredible Rabbit Island Dart arrowhead was found on Sauvie's Island, Oregon by Carroll Howe's sister while hunting with Carroll. I purchased the point from him on 12-13-90. Carroll wrote 4 books on Northwest material. It is made from gorgeous highly translucent orange agate. It has beautiful serrated edges and is flawless. The chipping is the finest. This whopping point is 4 7/8" long and 2 1/4" wide. Lar Hothem calls it a very scarce 1st stage St. Charles Dovetail. Tom Davis authenticated it as a Lost Lake, G-9. It is made from semi-translucent high quality burlington chert. It has excellent mineralization and patina. It has a very clear imprint of a fossilized shell on the upper left about a 1/4" from the tip, making this a no-brainer for authenticity. It was found near St. Louis, Missouri. Powerful Buddha image from the Tai Lue ethnic group from the Burma, Lao, Thai border region AKA “Golden Triangle”. Superficially these “folk images” lack the grace and serenity of the urban classical styles, but speak more from the heart of the people, as personal devotional merit making acts. This piece dates to around the 18th century; the “waisted” pedestal is typical of this period. Incorporated into the style is the much loved “bhumiparsha“ mudra, with stylized lotus lea...
