This is a 2nd Century Roman Glass, hand blown 2nd century AD. It is thick and heavy, unflawed, no chips or cracks, no hairlines,it has impressed squares on the body for about two third of the way down. Unguentaria used to hold poisonous, caustic oils or ointments and were never smooth sided, to prevent the Roman from grabbing the dangerous oil by mistake. A folky carved wood goose, kirogi, wedding goose, for a wedding ceremonial event, painted in polychrome pigments, white, light brownish red, green, blue and black, and carved details of the wing feathers and eyes, It’s in excellent condition with pigment colors with a rich and old dark patina of the surface of the wood. Thai 14th-15th Century Sawankhalok, Ayutthaya period, glazed ovoid shaped bottle flanked by two small ring ear handles at shoulder, and glazed in olive green celadon tones with horizontal linear markings. This tripod Chinese incense burner is an early 19th century product. It is 8 ¾” high and 8” wide (measured from both handles). The three legs are the form of Chinese mystical beast’s 饕餮 (Tao Tie) face and claws. The two handles are the image of Pi Xiu 貔貅 and the top is a form of Foo Lion. The body is covered with floral designs; cloud patterns appear on the top rim of the burner. There is an honorable “Qian Long Nian Made” mark on the bottom...

Pair Chinese green glazed ceramic storage jar with a globular body. The interiors are also glazed as well as isthe inside of the lids. Embossed CHINA on the bottom, we date them circa 1900. In good condition, one lid is damaged, see last photo, but it is glazed over with a clear glaze, so it was fired this way. Measures 7.5 inches high including lid, 7 inches diameter.

This pretty floral spoon, by the well-known Unger Brothers, is signed with their maker’s mark, hallmark, and “COPYRIGHT 1904”. The pattern is Jonquil, which is the flower for those born in March, representing friendship and happiness. The spoon measures 4-1/2”, and the bowl of the spoon is a little bit under 2” across. This late 19th century Japanese gold lacquered tortoise shell box is 5 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide and 1 inch thick. On one side, it depicts an eagle resting on a plum tree and a sparrow flying over a river on the other side. The workmanship is precise and elegant. Except for a few tiny chips and scratches due to its age, it is in good condition.
