A large dish with upturned rim of shakuzara size (10 sun or 30cm in diameter) decorated with an unusually geometric pattern based upon an eight pointed star, hachibosei, with a central roundel reserve containing a Peony painted in a gilt outlined technique typical of the late mid Edo period. Framed by eight further triangular brocade blocks, four with a y diaper iron red ground with chrysanthemum mon, and four with a diaper ground with purple and green enamels...

Statue of Buddha, in formal attire, wearing diadem, his hands in didactic posture, sitting cross-legged on a double lotus throne. Lacquered and gilt bronze. Tibet, 16th/17th century. Height: 7 3/4" (19,7 cm). Tiny chips on base, otherwise very good condition.

Slightly distorted half cylinder shaped (hanzutsu) chawan with a rounded brim, made of light, refined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was only slightly trimmed with a potter's knife in its lower part. The shape is of a type frequently found in early Shino bowls.

Under the semi-opaque Shino glaze is a decoration of criss-cross lines representing grass and something which maybe a landscape, executed in iron-bearing clay (oniita)...

Ming Dynasty 16th century brown glazed dragon-jar for the trade with Borneo. This nice not to big jar was found in a Borneo longhouse. H : 9 inc. Small chip to the rim but still very nice condition.

Antique pair of small bronze seated Qilin. Cast with heads facing upward and mouths open. Details of scales and striated tails. Each has a single horn. As scholar objects, it is possible that these were once used as scroll weights. Each Qilin stands on an antique carved hardwood stand.

A large ming swatow dish decorated with polychrome dragon fish at the center and five fish at inner wall.Dish in good conditions ,no chipped,no hairlines, and free from any restorations and additional coloring.Size:38cm diameter.8cm high.

Small statue of Green Tara, wearing diadem, necklace and dhoti, sitting "at ease" on a double lotus throne. Her right hand holds the "cintamani", the jewel which "grants wishes or satisfies all desires". Bronze, with fine green patina in the recesses. Tibet, 16th century or earlier. Height: 3 3/8" (8,5 cm). Strong erosion due to very old age, tiny losses at the base of the throne, otherwise very good condition. NOTE: Green Tara is seen as the Buddhist protector against all dangers.

Small stela dedicated to Bhairava. The Hindu god is standing on a corpse and holding the snake ("naga") in his right hand, a skull cap ("kapala") in his left hand, and his weapons in his other two hands. Black stone with remnants of ritual material. Nepal, circa 15th century. Height: 5 3/4" (14,5 cm). Mounted on a custom stand. Erosion, otherwise good condition

A Chinese gilt wood statue of Skanda. Skanda, also known as Wei Tuo (Chinese: 韋馱), is a Mahayana bodhisattva regarded as a devoted guardian of Buddhist monasteries who guards the Buddhist teachings. He is also sometimes called in the Chinese tradition "Hufa Weituo Zuntian Pusa", meaning "Honored Dharma Protector Skanda Bodhisattva", because he is the leader of the twenty-four celestial guardian deities mentioned in the Golden Light Sutra (quote from Wikipedia). Here is a really rare example of Ko-Agano-yaki from the early Edo Period (1600-1630) with a fine Kintsugi gold repair: regular wan shaped Ko-Agano tea bowl, showing very fine slightfinger marks from throwing.

The foot ring has been cut with a potters knife on a hand wheel. A glaze of rice straw ash has been poured with a laddle, while the potter held the bowl at the unglazed foot. Its unglazed finger marks show a fine, little iron bearing clay of a brownish color...

A late Ming dynasty jar with under glaze blue banding and decorated in typical Wucai style with over glaze iron red and green and yellow enamels depicting two phoenix in flight amongst styalized peoney foliage; there is a lotus scroll band on the shoulder. This item was made in China and probably exported to Europe circa 1600 -1640. Condition - there is an old repair to the brown dressed rim - no cracks and no further damages or restoration....
