Antique pair of bronze candlesticks in the form of two young Chinese boys. Dressed in traditional formal Chinese robes, the children each hold an elaborate two tiered candlestick in the form of porcelain bowls. One boy holds a fan while the other holds the corner of his robe. Elegant and detailed.

A genuine Shan State Bronze Buddha, 17/18th Century, subduing Mara and sitting on a fine stepped throne. Front base has engraved Shan script. The Buddha is filled and heavy, not hollow. It also has an old original dark patina with traces of gilt and very few remnants of cinnabar paint. Size: Height 20.5 cm x 13 cm (8.25" x 5.25" inches). Good condition overall.

Rare, circa 1860, English walnut tea caddy featuring nice clean lines with its only decoration being the word “TEA” inlaid in sterling silver. The lid is hinged and the interior features two separate rectangular compartments with removable wooden lids for storage. In very good antique condition with expected signs of use with some light scratches, a minor nick to the walnut finish, and a small piece of silver missing at the food of the “T”. A charming metal artist's trade sign mounted under glass in a fine period wood frame. Obviously done to showcase his skill, it shows a palette with brushes resting in the thumb hole along with flowers, additional flowers and a bird outside of the palette.

The sign and the frame with its original backboard are in excellent condition. Sight size 13 1/2" by 9 1/2", and a framed size of 17" by 12 1/2".

Japanese iron tea kettle, or tetsubin, all hand-cast iron with landscape scenes of oceanside cottages around the body. The handle is inlaid with two silver birds and held into place by a pair of iron chimera on each end. The bronze lid is signed underneath, and the backside of the iron body has a 4 character artist's cartouche.

These wonderful painted (some outlining is printed) plaques were done in the Staffordshire area of England in the late 18th century. They are 6 1/2" long and 4 1/2" wide. Each depicts a classical head in profile. It is uncommon to find a pair, especially in such wonderful condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs of any kind, and the painting is vibrant and unscratched.

12th-17thc Early Islamic Silvered Copper Bowl with Extensive Engraved designs and writing thick and heavy. This piece is possibly from Afghanistan very nice chased and carved designs and the most unique thing is the interior of the bowl having a watered wave like pattern to the metal from hand forging like seen on swords. Larger than usual bucchero ware kantharos of canonical shape. The high-swung strap handles attached at the rim and the dented ridge at the join to the straight wall. Standing on a low flared foot. Incised lines just below the rim.

A very interesting carved and gilded wood panel, found here in Southern California, origin unknown. There are remaining traces of gilding and to a lesser extent, possibly polychrome paint. I have found no writing/labels, and frustratingly, there is no further information traveling with it. The piece measures 15" by 32". I am wondering if it might be of American origin, although in my mind I think it could be French. The wood seems to be pine...

This is a finely carved Celadon Jade figure of a Boy holding a Lotus Leaf Branch. It is a mostly of natural celadon color with a small patch of russet color in the back, near the waistline. This excellent rendition of a traditionally groomed 18th Century Boy is in excellent preserved condition.
