Strand of Yuan to Ming Dynasty white “milk” glass trade beads excavated from the Tak Hilltop burial site along the Thai Burmese border. These can be dated to the14th to 16th CE because they were found the same strata as easily datable Chinese and Vietnamese ceramics. Please examine enlargements for condition. This glass covered jar was produced in Europe. It has the style of the 1870s period but we are not certain of the manufacturer. The jar is 5 3/4 inches in diameter and 3 1/4 inches high. The glass is hand blown with a swirl of opalescent color entwined with powder blue. You can feel the ribs in the glass with your fingers. There is a hand painted scene in silhouette of children watching a bird on the lid. It is quite charming, with good detail...

Fine Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Pottery Zodiac Jar

This interesting pottery jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province. It is made from a relatively high-fired grey pottery.

The jar has a flat base with marks showing it was removed from the potter's wheel by a piece of string or wire...

A rare early bronze figure of Vishnu, South Indian, perhaps Tamil Nadu, c. 16th.-18th. century or even earlier.

Size: c. 76 mm. tall.

It features the ornate and unusual double ram's ear design which adds to its visual appeal - a true work of 19th century blacksmith art with utilitarian purpose.

Condition is very good with excellent patina- the natural pitting and hammer marks commensurate with a hand-forged piece. No rusting...

Very Nice Pregnant Jalisco Figure, San Juanito Style. 8" x 4 3/8" x 3". CA. 200 B.C. to 500 A.D. Early type with coffee bean eyes, wearing ear tassels. Painted with a light brown slip and red skirt or pants. Small chip to nose and stabilized hairline crack in the crouch area, otherwise intact.

Porcelain decorated with standing phoenix and floral on the center and four flower sprays on the cavetto, unglazed base. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19 cm wide. This antique beaded headband is from Guang Dong province in China, and is typical of headgear worn by Chinese woman around the turn of the 19th-20th century. It would have been worn the narrow portion across the forehead, with the rounded flap portions covering the ears and fastened in the back of the head.

This attractively-shaped pottery vessel with its flared foot and pear-shaped body was made during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC).
