Very Rare Chinese Northern Dynasties Painted Pottery Camel (AD 386 - 581)
This extremely rare pottery model of a camel was made during the Northern Dynasties period (AD 386 - 581). It is rather naively modelled from a dense grey pottery that is fairly high-fired. On its back is a blanket on which has been painted a geometric pattern in black and white pigments although some of this is obscured by white "calcified" deposits...
A punch dagger with tapering double edged steel blade, each face decorated with a four-armed deity. Straight handle with double-grip, decorated on the side with flowers. Sheath made of wood with velvet lining. Condition: tip slightly chipped, sheath with losses. Some flash rust. Dimension: 44.6 cm long, 7.4 cm wide.
Charming original blond Ko (small) tansu with locking bar and safe (with Key). Many drawers of different sizes with great original black iron hirsute shaped drawer hardware. Wonderful unusual design for a ko tansu. Overall in great shape.

DESCRIPTION: A finely painted Chinese glass snuff bottle in flattened rectangular form, each side featuring a lohan (a Buddhist disciple) in landscape settings, one with a crouching dragon and the other with a playful foo lion. Above each lohan is a poem in fine calligraphy with red seal marks. Aventurine stopper, in excellent condition, early 20th C. DIMENSIONS: 3 ¼” high (8.3 cm).

This is a finely hand-carved Ebony Netsuke attributed to Jikan Ganbun, depicting a Tree Stump. Nicely detailed rendering of a tree stump with its rough textured exterior contrasting with a smooth top and bottom that are styled in a star shaped manner.
