This soft pale pink colored antique Chinese silk skirt is from the late 1800's. The traditional floral embroidery is mainly uses satin stitch technique with the large flower in the center of the front and rear panels use Peking knots.

A rare and wonderful bronze mortar, Baroque period of Northern Europe, 18th. century.
The mortar is inscribed with owners initials O: H: S:, M: L: and the clear date 1769, the mortar is likely somewhat older, early 18th. century and made in a bronze allow, not brass that became popular later in the 18th. century.
The mortar comes with the original Pestle and was part of the inventory (Exebition) of a Swedish Farmacy.

Antique Japanese 4 panel screen with rooster and hen. This unusual screen has gold lacquered open lattice work backed with the original sheer white silk. A beautiful scene of a blossoming plum tree, yellow daisies and chickens makes up the carved and painted foreground. The bottom portion of each panel is pierced carved and painted with scenes of rocks and cymbidium orchids.

This is a very fine small Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of early Namikawa cloisonne pieces. This vase like Namikawa works has butterflies, high sheen mottled enamels and gilt wires. Even so we believe it was probably made by Honda. This heavy piece stands 4 3/4 inches and the condition is nearly mint.

On its back is a removable bulbous vase form with flared neck (tianquiping) Incised with arctic motif. The elephants almond shaped eyes, diminutive tusk, pinched ears, with trunk swayed inward. The bronze is lost wax cast method. It has verdigris patina with a dry russet color.
