This is an extremely interesting artifact. It has quadruple imagery. The figures almost resemble a northwest totem. There is a different image when you turn the face upside down. There is also double imagery to the faces on the side. The same face is repeated at both ends of the stick. A lot of thought and work went into this beauty. The paint is very bold and strong. It is extremely well patinated. Carved from wood, it is 14 1/2" long...

Upon seeing eyeglasses on visiting Western dignitaries and businessmen, the Chinese perceived and admired these "spectacles" as age enhancing. Not only did the eyeglasses improve eyesight...but they added age and dignity to the face of the wearer. An attractive Arita dish made for export to Europe decorated with conventionalised panels of Hoo birds and Paulonia flowers and stylised Peony flowers inset within an underglaze blue brocade ground to the cavetto, and a central motif of Chrysanthemum. This is a very early copper alloy dagger from the Middle East. It has a flat, triangular blade with a short, flat tang. The features are common to very early cultures in the middle East (prior to 1500 BC). The overall weight is 98 grams and the length is roughly 20 cm. The edges are still quite sharp on this wonderful antiquity. The price is right too!

Three(3) Chinese Export Porcelain Rose Mandarin Demitasse Cups and three(3) Export Porcelain Rose Medallion Demitasse size Saucers, Ca. cups-1830-1840, saucers-1860's, both designs are typical Roses and Mandarin figures in the garden. They are not set but will go together, they were made in different times. Saucers have couple hairline cracks and one of saucer has chips on the bottom rim, cups are in fine condition and large Mandarin figures are all around outside the cup.
