A Rare and Fine Inlaid Shark skin Red Lacquered Box and Cover;

Small architectural ornament, carved in the shape of a Garuda, standing under a triangular platform with his wings open. Wood, fine dark patina. Nepal, 18th century, probably earlier. Height: 4 1/8" (10,5 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old traces of woodworm work (no danger), large chip on right side of platform, otherwise good condition. Note: in Hindu religion, Garuda is a demigod, half man half eagle, who carries god Vishnu.
Antique 19th century Indian Archer Thumb Ring Zihgir. The ring is carved of a veined green Nephrite Jade, inlaid with metal wire, and set with 8 cabochons and 3 small, oval, red and green jewels.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length 4.5 cm (1.77 inches). The inner ring diameter is around 2.2 cm (0.87 inches).
These very well carved and polished crabs are a late Meiji period product. They are about 4” wide, 2 ½” high and 1 ½” thick. Aside from some small old repair and hair line cracks due to their age, they are in great condition.

This is Japanese meiji zanshi weave noragi hanten textile. It does not have a stain and damage and is in a very good state.Zanshi, or kuzuito, is cloth that is woven from threads either leftover from home production of yarn making, or from broken threads that were purchased from local commercial weavers.

The underglaze cobalt blue, rare Phoenix decoration of this quite small porcelain bowl is executed in an nearly Imperial Quality. The cobalt blue is excellent. Ming Dynasty, Jiajing Period ( 1522 - 1566 ) Jingdezhen ware.

Porcelain body, very nice Cobalt blue, covered with an excellent glossy glaze.

Condition : Perfect original condition. There are 2 firing cracks which can be seen on the last enlargement, but there is no later damage to the piece.
This is a beautiful Japanese satsuma bowl from satsuma master Yabu Meizan. The minute detail and workmanship are spectacular. The Detail in hand is finer and more impressive than what is shown in these blown up images. It displays very well but unfortunately the bowl was broken and repaired. The price for this bowl is a fraction of the price an unresstored Yabu bowl would bring. But the spectacular artistry and skill needed to to create this piece, can still surpass most Meiji era satsuma pieces...

Japanese early 20th century period bronze USUBATA. This USUBATA is wonderfully designed with rabbits and a utensil to pound rice cakes with. Burmese painting done on a large, cloth canvas, likely depicting the Jataka tales, or stories of Buddha, with nine separate panels, each depicting a different tale of Buddha's previous lives. This pair of ivory carvings of ladies and lotus was completed in the mid 19th century. They depict aristocratic ladies holding stylized bouquets of reeds and lotus. Chinese green glazed noodle making bowl, 5" high-maximum height, 8" diameter-top, green glazed, early part of 1900's. This is the bowl making home made noodle in the kitchen.
