According to Taoist legends, she has a palace in the Konron Mountains, where she grows the tree of the genii, the fruit that ripens every three thousand years. The fruit of this tree confers the gift of immortality to the person who eats it...

DESCRIPTION: A lovely, large cuff bracelet crafted from a fine silver filigree mesh with a large center turquoise stone and six smaller stones of turquoise and coral. Around these are raised silver bamboo sprigs decorating the front and two hinged sides. This bracelet is closed with a silver clasp and secured with silver chain. Chinese Jadeite Jade hard stone carved Lotus flower shape Pendant, 1 3/8" high, 1 7/8" wide, 3/8" thick, with carved incised lines of flower pedals, some natural infusions in the stone, the condition is good.

Finely carved ivory Chinese napkin ring with 3 landscape carvings and an animal in each scene. Each is deeply carved, giving depth to the foliage. The 4th cartouche is left blank for monogramming. In excellent condition, it measures 1 1/8" high by 2" diameter. Circa 1900.

This tripod censer is raised on three animal-masked feet that support its large, rounded body. The rim is decorated with a key fret design, and the body has ten lappets composed of stylized mask and key fret designs all in low relief. It retains its original brown patina overall with a deep greenish gray interior from use. Good condition.

Exceptionally elegant red vermillion lacquered zen buddhist temple sutra table in its original signed and dated box. Dated Keio gannen 8 (c.1865) the tapered legs and metal fittings on the table top indicate this was made for a rich temple. 37cm tall and 53cm wide the very top is in its own cotton wrapping. An impressive magnifying glass with a carved ivory handle with 18 natural red coral beads. We believe the ivory handle to be a Meiji period Japanese parasol handle and sometime in its history converted to a magnifying glass. In very good antique condition with all beads intact, the handle measures 5 inches x 1 1/8". Magnifying glass with handle is 10.5 inches long.

These are secured with a silver band to a pitted green jade handle inscribed with archaic characters and terminating in a round knob.
