This tall, unusual stand is decorated with cobalt blue under the glaze and with overglaze enamels in iron-red, green, and gold. It has four large cutouts on the sides, revealing the interior that is glazed white. The cut edges of the open cartouches are dressed with gilt enamel as is also the top rim. The footrim is unglazed, exposing the white porcelain body. It is in very good condition with no repairs or damages, with only minor wear to the enamels...

Antique Japanese sodenashi (work vest), made of indigo and other neutral colored sakiori (rag woven) cotton, edged with indigo cotton, beautifully worn, old reinforcement stitching in some areas adds wonderful character to this worker's vest, late Meiji Period. Size: 31" high x 20" wide

Antique Japanese storage tansu with locking bar, made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood with original deep reddish translucent lacquer finish, two large drawers lock by vertical locking bar with beautiful heavy iron hardware of a koi jumping up a waterfall, the drawers themselves have square iron handles and corner reinforcements in the form of raised seed pods...

Rather unusual late 19th century (late Qing Dynasty) Chinese wooden brush rest carved in a form of a stylized rectangular section bamboo stem terminating with a peach on one end and a pomegranate on the other. Very unusual feature of two tiny elongated drawers coming out of the sides of the brush rest - probably meant for storing small items like tiny brushes or inksticks. Light wood (some sort of pine) with very pleasant transparent red/brown shellac lacquer...

19th century Chinese wooden brush rest carved in the form of a crouching dragon. Dense hardwood (must be wood species related to huanghuali), wonderful warm patina, old nicks, ink and water stains adding character to the piece. Clever functional design, very good object for scholar’s desk. Length 4 7/8 inches, height 1 5/16 inches.

Chinese Glass Mandarin Hat Finial converted to lamp Finial, wrapped around with silver and gold color leafy shape band which is all original but bottom piece is soldiered to brass lamp adapter. The clear glass knob is 1 1/4" diameter.

Chinese natural Turquoise stone Tassel, two(2) larger natural shape Turquoise(1/2" x 1/2" x 1/4") between two(2) small round Turquoise Beads(1/4" diameter). The condition is good.

Japanese black lacquer standing screen, decorated with a painting of a hawk in a pine tree on one side and a group of blossoming peonies on the other. Beautiful detail. Painted in mineral colors and sumi ink on paper and signed by the artist. Taisho Period. Total size: 51 1/4" high x 45 1/2" wide x 19" deep.

It was heavily potted and was applied with greenish glaze.
The characteristic marks of wiring-cutting were left at the bottom. It was a typical method by cutting the vessel from the wheel with a thread or a wire.

Classic Olmec los Bocas figure. 1200 B.C.E. -500 B.C.E. this excellently crafted figure has faint traces of red pigment with mineral deposits. He (no breasts, or sexual elements) is wearing a helmet or headdress, with what appears to be some form of jewelry over his nose or upper lip. this piece is all intact with no visible repairs, small amount of normal chipping around nose and feet. Many years ago I put this piece into auction with Arte Primitivo...

A superb and extremely large Chaffers Liverpool porcelain tankard with a slightly spreading base. Beautifully painted with a large bouquet of flowers on the side opposite the strapped handle, with 4 sprigs of different flowers placed, at a distance, at each of the four corners of the central painting, near where the handle joins the body of the piece.

The tankard is 5 5/8" tall, with a top diameter of 3 5/8" and a bottom diameter of 3 3/4"...

Height approximately 24.5 cm (including the stand). Few soft dents at the body. In good condition.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 3 3/4 inches and the cup is 1 7/8 inches high. The saucer is deep and does not have a well. The cup has an art nouveau style handle. Both pieces have bands of tiny hand painted roses and delicate gilding around the rims. The interior of the cup and the handle are gilded...

A fine and delicate antique Thai bronze left hand of Buddha. Small size : L. 14 cm. x H. 4.5 cm. x W.4 cm. This hand is not mounted on a stand. Fingers down and palm outwards symbolizes gift giving or bestowal. Good condition. Rare piece. We also have one right hand available in this size.
