This very unusual Kyoto ware chawan is decorated in underglaze blue on a buff stoneware body.

The motifs are very odd and present mysterious pictures a poetic calligraphy.

Inside are 5 spur marks indicating that these bowls were stacked inside each other in the kiln. A previous owner has obviously been very attached to the bowl as it has several fine "kintsugi" gold lacquer repairs.

Sake cup in wood lacquered with gold, silver and cinnabar powder. On the outside on a rich thick kinji background, decorated with flowers in gold and silver leafs around the perimeter and in the center 2 stylized Chinese characters in thick lumpy cinnabar lacquer with the most beautiful aesthetic effect, probably the mark of the artist. Antique snuff bottle made from beautifully hand-carved peking glass with a smokey clear-tone body, dipped into vibrant green and white glass. One side of the bottle shows a hawk perched upon a branch with blooming flowers, and the other side shows a dog pup gazing up at the bird. Has a jade topper. Small cast bronze incense burner in the shape of a duck. The bird is lying on its folded legs and gracefully twists its neck to groom its plumage. There has never been a lid because the opening on its back is clean without grooves and without any trace of friction or wear. The carving is of good quality, the eyes and nostrils are particularly well executed. Chinese work from the 18th century or much earlier. Chinese hard porcelain dish. Interesting and rare decoration in underglaze cobalt blue representing emblems and antiquities. The designs are very neat and beautiful. On the reverse of the dish, in a double circle is drawn a mark in the form of a tetrapod vase, one of the typical marks of the Kangxi period. The color of the blue is superb, it is a beautiful example of the finest creations of cobalt blue from the Kangxi period at the very beginning of the 18th century...

Large Buddhist ritual bell, with a lavish decoration of a "vajra" on its top, four deities faces below, and geometric and stylized lotus decor on its body.
