This is a very fine and unusual Japanese Satsuma vase with relief figures. The work on this piece is highly detailed and the gold thickly applied. The Dragon and clouds are decorated with silver. The piece is in very good condition will minor wear. The Artist signature is the most worn area on the piece. With magnification it can be seen that it is signed Fuzan but it is very hard to make out. I have included a similar Fuzan mark for comparison. The vase stands 8 1/2 inches tall.

This is a very fine pair of Japanese satsuma vases that stand just 4 1/4 inches tall. Attractive form, enamel colors and very fine details. They look like they have spent most of their lives stored in the box. One has the original sticker and both are signed. The signature looks a bit like the Kozan mark but we are not sure. Some of the larger flowers remind us of work seen on Bizan and Yabu pieces.

A fine and rare 19th century Japanese cloisonne bi-fold table screen in the Kyoto school of Namikawa, depicting a ho bird and dragon. The finely coiled wiring is gilded, as are the back panels of the screen. Each cloisonne panel is wood framed, joined with hinges of silver. Fully opened, the screen measures 8" high and 9" wide.

A fine Japanese incense burner, made of wood with pierced gilt copper lid, the interior with copper lining. On a black lacquer ground slightly raised decoration showing a landscape with rockwork and trees in different gold lacquer techniques. This figural glass lamp was produced by L.E. Smith Company during the 1940's - 50's. The color was fired on over clear glass, giving the opaque finish. This style is referred to as the 'Southern Belle' lamp. I have 2 available. Both have been re-wired so they work fine. The shade clips on the light bulb. Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period rectangular form porcelain plaque painted in famille rose enamels and gilt highlights with a crane on a pine branch above thick leafy flowers. A poem at the upper left is dated in Chinese cycle years to winter of 1902 and signed Jiang Yongyuan (active circa 1899-1919) at Zhushan, a district of Jingdezhen. A raised rim frames the composition. 15 1/4" long by 9 1/4" wide by 7/8” deep. There is a fine old brown hairline crack extending down from the top....

Vandermark artglass is contemporary glass made in the style of art nouveau. This piece was made in 1981 in June. It is marked "1981-6", signed by the artist and numbered 0455. It measures 9.75" across the top and is 3.5" deep. This piece of stretchglass is in excellent condition. There is a pontil mark on the center of the base (normal).
