An important and very interesting medieval floor tile, of a 13th.-14th. century English type, used in Noble houses, churches and monasteries in the period.

Size: 13,5-14 cm. on each side and very thick.

Condition: Intact and choice, with minimal detoriation of the glaze.

A large and well-preserved tanged bronze sword, c. 2nd. millenium BC.

The style with the thick mid-rib and two rivets in the corner of the blade is known from the Assyrian period, and the present specimen provincially made around the lands of the Caspian Sea. On this specimen one rivet is still remaining. Very attractive and impressive!

Size: 45 cm.

Condition: Choice - very fine green patina and good metal quality - very few losses and roghness to the edge...

Another substantial Roman silver seal ring with a red carnelian intaglio, 1st.-3rd. cent AD

The ring a typical compressed Roman design and the carnelian stone engraved with a depiction of the Dioskouroi.

Size: c. 24 mm. wide and weighing 8.1 grams. The ring-size is c. 19 mm. x 16 mm., so it fits the typical ring-finger of a smaller male or a female hand.

Condition: Very fine, intact, but the stone was reset and there's chips to the silver-setting...

A rare large pottery figure of Thot as a Baboon Late-Ptolemaic period, 5th.-1st. century BC.

A mold-made votive figure of the god Thot, depicted here seated as a Baboon holding a round object and very detailed with remnants of pigments.

Interesting, large figures like this are usuaully only encountered in faiance or stone so a scarce late representation in terracotta.

A large and thick seal carved in a large-corned attractive brown stone, Western Mesopotamia, Kingdom of the Mittani, 1550-1350 BC.

The seal is decorated with a high relief 'eye pattern' / Rhomboid design inside a dotted frame.

The Mitanni Kingdom (Hurrians) was a strong regional power limited by the Hittites to the north, Egyptians to the west, Kassites to the south, and later by the Assyrians to the east...

A very beautifully carved and polished stamp seal, Syro-Levantine, c. 1st. millenium BC.

A very elaborately carved seal with a tall handle, carved in a cream stone, very glossy! The seal is carved with a depiction of a large bird attacking a smaller animal, perhaps a sheep. Highly unusual.

Size: 20 mm. tall.

Condition: Extremely Fine, uncleaned red dessert sand deposits in the devices.

A rare Ancient Near East Bronze short sword or large dagger dating to 1st-2nd mill BC.

Commonly termed Luristani by dealers and collectors.

Fine style weapon with square shoulders and a flat central midrib. As a rare feature, on this short sword the lower part of the hilt is intact, which is seldom seen on this type of bronze age weapon.

Size is 42,7 cm - 16,8 inches.

A terracotta idol figurine of astarte, Syro-Hittite, dating to the mid-later period of the 3rd. millenium BC.

The pillar figure of Astarte with large round eyes and a bird-like presence. Angular shoulders and a monolithic body with her hands and delineated fingers placed over her breasts.

A massive and very rare key from a large iron strongbox or bank box, probably Germany, c. later 16th. century AD.

Probably made in German with a complicated bit and very large size.

We've added a picture of a larger male hand holding the key to show the proportions of the piece.

A larger and well-engraved Chalchedony stamp seal, Neo-babylonian period of Mesopotamia, 8th.-6th. century BC.

Trapezoid shape, decorated with a fine style image of Marduk, the main god of the early Neo-Babylonian Empire, standing in front of a complicated structure with podiums and towers, crescent above. Complete with suspension hole through the centre.

A beautiful seal with complete brownish calcified surfaces.

Scarce and attractive steatite scarab of the New Kingdom period, inscribed with the royal name / cartouche of Seti I, 1294-1279 BC.

Carved in greyish steatite with fine details of the beetle and inscribed with 'men ka re'. Thanks to a good collector friend reassigned from Thutmosis (men kheper re)

Condition: Extremely fine, particularly sharp and finely preserved specimen, patina with web-like crackles.

The seal with drilled hole for wearing and the top and trapezoid / pyramidal shape.

A wonderful head of a stargazer idol in a rare hard greyish stone for this type, a female idols of Kiliya type, Anatolia, c. 3000-2500 BC.

The type with a triancular head, pronounced ridge and protuding eyes.

A large and profusely engraved blackstone cylinder seal, Western Mesopotamia / Cappadocia, 2000-1600 BC.

Very interesting with a bird-headed deity seated in front of a fierce winged demon standing on the back of an animal; with multiple creatures, insect-like and other animals on the entire surface.

Size: 26 mm. tall and 17 mm. wide so an impressive seal in hand.

Condition: Extremely fine with some mild corrsoion in parts and fine patina with redish deposits. ...

An interesting and very rare Wedjat Eye amulet in the openwork design and inscribed on the back with the cartouche of Cartouche of Maatkare (Hatshepsut), New Kingdom, ca. 1479–1458 B.C.

These Eye of Ra amulets are very rarely inscribed with cartouches on the back. This particular amulet is also of special interest since it bears the name of greatest female ruler in the history of the Dynasties, Hatshepsut.
