Interesting massive seal with a provenance going back to the French Dealer j. Vinchon 1973. Greenstone seal with stylized engravings in the base and worn through handle from extensive use. Very early dating to the 5th. mill. BC or even earlier!

A finely shaped stamp seal from the Urartu Kingdom of the bell-shaped type but in veined Alabaster, very attractive! Seal is carved with an animal in it's base.

A scarce very early and substantial stamp seal from the Pre-/early Halaf period of Western Mesopotamia c. 6th. mill. BC.

Assymethrical design, finely carved in a black stone with a medium tall handle, and carved with an interesting web-pattern in the base.

Size: 28 mm x 25 mm. and 14 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice VF, some wear but overall nicely preserved, uncleaned deposits.

Interesting and attractive tanged bronze dagger with large broad blade, North Caspian Sea area, c. 2nd. millenium BC.

The leaf-shaped blade with a broad mid-rib and raised shoulders, short tang.

Size: 29 cm.

Condition: Good Very fine, choice green patina and great metal.

Ex. Danish private Collection, aquired at the Copenhagen antiques market in the 1990s.

Interesting and attractive amulet carved and polished in green black stone, very glossy, Mesopotamia Uruk-Jemdet Nasr period, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

The amulet drilled at the top as the eyes of the bird, which is standing on a low oval base.

An interesting early Acorn top Laten spoon, English, London c. 1580.

Acorn top and having flat hammered stem and a round touchmark for London in the oval bowl.

Size: 16,2 cm. long.

Condition: Very fine, wear and nice patina with remnants of old silvering intact and strong.

Provenance: Private Collection of Bjørn De Roepstorff, an important Danish castle / mansion collection of Early European antiques.

A nice scaraboid stone seal carved in serpentine, Western Mesopotamia, c. early-mid 2nd. mill. BC.

The scaraboid is engraved with a high relief carving of a man standing with outstretched arms and a tree in each hand. Quite unusual.

A fine stamp seal in a greenish black serpentine stone, probably Northern Mesopotamia, 5h.-4th. millenium BC.

A very early hemispheric seal with a fine free style engraving of an animal on the face and a loop at the back.

Interesting and massive bronze ring with standing human on the Bezel, Amlash / South Caspian Sea area, c. early 2nd. millenium BC.

An unsually large ring for it's type. Normally these are decorated with applied patterns on a spiral - in this case the ringmaker also found space for a standing human figure with a weapon or a staff in his left hand, likely a mythical figure or a warrior. Lovely red and blue-green patina!

A polished, thinbladed Danish neolithic axe dating to late 4th-early 3rd mill BC.

Very nicely polished on the sides, unpolished top and bottom.

An attractive pottery bowl with old repair from 1960s collection, Abbasid (?), 8th.-9th. century AD.

The bowl decorated with stylized caligraphy on a beige ground.

Interestin base carved with three animals incl a large deer with antlers, a Scorpion above and a smaller animal at the rim.

A choice & rare islamic pottery bowl dating to 10th-12th century AD.

The bowl has a greenish white glace with some wear due to age.

The bottom of the interior is decorated with a calligraphic symbol.

A finely carved black stone seal with a scarce oval high dome shape, probably an animal form, Anatolia or Syria, c. late 4th.-early 3rd. millenium BC.

Carved with an interesting pattern with three drilled round pellets in a grit. Aquired by the collector in 2003.

A high quality intaglio, large for type and carved in an even coloured transperant carnelian stone, probably MUGHAL/SAFAVID, 16th.-17th. century AD.

Rather complicated oval cartouche, carved with artful caligraphic arabic within a double border.

Size: c. 21 mm. long and almost 6 mm. thick.

Condition: Extremely fine, completely intact with inky deposits.

Ex. L.P. Niederrhein, aquired before 1980.

Interesting and beautiful seal made in a very hard high quality shiny mottled green-blue stone. The seal Western Mesopotamia / Levantine 5th-4th. millenium BC.

Interesting archaic desing of the base but note the extremely fine style with multiple crossed lines, which were possible due to choice of stone.
