A finely polished and fully symethric Egyptian stone jar made of hard black stone, 3rd.-2nd. mill. BC.

The jar was used to hold cosmethics in the 3rd.-2nd. millenium BC.

Size: 43 mm. wide and 35 mm. tall.

A superb bronze mace head decorated with faceted knobs around the swollen head and flanked by grooved bands with a tubular shaft, later bronzeage, ca. 1200-800 BC.

A bronze Scythe, Turkmenistan / Caspian Sea Area, bronzeage 2nd.-1st. mill. BC.

Interesting large and very sharp blade, used as a harvesting tool and sometimes as a weapon as well. European bronzeage scythe blades (sicles) are fairly commenly sold on the market whereas sicles from the Near east or western asian bronzeage cultures are very scarce indeed. This specimen is larger than most European blades, whith a highly sharpened blade and a thick slightly bended back of blade...

Ancient Near East, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BC.

A large elaborate bronze cloak pin, cast via the lost wax (cire perdue) process with poppy flower shaped terminal.

Used to fasten clothes, in this case due to the unusually heavy fabric and decoration, likely leather for presentation use - perhaps for a very thick cape or leather armor. The lower terminal decorated with knobs and 3 spikes.

Looks like a caligraphic ring and very early as such.

A superb massive gold ring of 22+ carat gold with convex gemstone of garnet, depicting a lion tearing a deer, above it a crescent, in front of it a stylized plant. Graeco-persian, 2nd half of the 6th century BC.

A super lot of three ancient tanged Bronze daggers from Ancient Near East. Types of the 3rd.-2nd. mill. BC.

The lot consist of:
1) A choice and beautiful dagger, c. 26 cm, long with high shoulders and a prominent central midrib, 2nd. mill. BC. On this dagger you can see where the handle of bone or wood once was - very interesting!
2) A nice smaller dagger with rounded shoulders, 3rd. millenium BC, 17,8 cm. long.
3) A 23,1 cm...

Interesting and very rare pendant or finial of the Hittite period in Anatolia, c. mid 2nd. millenium BC.

The finial shaped with a bull head on top of another bull.

Size: 6 cm. long and 4,5 cm. tall.

Condition: Fine, earthern green patina, somewhat flaking at the edges, but sound enough.

A rare and interesting bronze spear butt for a large lance for hand-to-hand combat, probably Median-Achaemenid, c. 7th.-5th. cent. BC.

The use of this fine spearbutt was known all over the Greco-Persian world in the mid 1st. millenium BC. A spear-butt covers the end of a spear that touches the ground and it would have been used as a weapon also in close combat.

A wonderful large and intact pottery figure, South Italian, 4th.- 2nd. century BC.

She is standing nude on a tall podium with garments draped behind her lower legs.

An choice Silex Axe from the Daggertime, Late Danish Neolithic period, ca. 2400-1800 BC.

A nice thin-bladed axe, imitating the bronze axes that began to appear in Denmark through trade in the later part of the Neolithic period. A highly polished axe with a beautiful greyish patina and fossilmarks on the surface.
