A superb quality Islamic dish, Seljuq period 12th century A.D. (494 AH – 597 AH). Ancient near East.

In wonderful green-blue glaze, the center decorated with a carved flower in the typical style of the Seljuqs.

Condition: Superb, with fine crackled glaze, intact.

Provenance: Important Danish-French Private Estate collection, (aquired 1970- c. 2007) of Islamic pottery ware from the 9th.-12th. century. Comes with COA.

A beautiful ceramic dish with caligraphy, Nishapur or Samarkand, Samenid Dynasty, Western Asia 9th.-10th. century AD.

Lovely quality for the type with artful black and red caligraphy on a cream-white ground.

Condition: Extremely fine, superb for this rare type and large size. Restored from a very few larger fragments with a very large part of original crackled glaze...

A wonderful pottery bowl, in a original state for type with Pseudo-caligraphy, Islamic, ca. 10th.-11th. century.

A larger conical bowl both wide and tall and decorated with stylized pseudo-caligraphy in black on beige glaze all around the interior and a line in green near the rim. Inscribed with old hand from the collector in the bottom 'Nichapour'.

Size: 25 cm. wide and 11 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice for type. A few cracks restored, but much original glaze...

A superb and exceptionally large pottery bowl with torquoise glaze, black markings and a finely decorated pattern on the interior. Seljug period, 11th.-12th. centuries, Near East.

The finest bowl we've seen of the type. With silvery iridescence on the surface of both the interior and the exterior. Very beautiful colours. The patina and fine glass like gloss is difficult to grasp in our pictures but is very visible in hand.

Lot of 6 handpicked superb larger quartz beads, Greco-Bactrian Empire, ca. 2nd. cent. BC-1st. AD.

Interesting beads from Bactria, Balkh Area, made during the Greco-Bactrian Empire and with remnants of later dying in Cobalt and torquise during the Islamic Dynasties, 9th.-10th. century AD.

These types of beads are expertly carved in the very hard Quartz material, with rating of 7+ on the hardness scale for semi-precious stones with panels/faceted...

A rare large pottery figure of Thot as a Baboon Late-Ptolemaic period, 5th.-1st. century BC.

A mold-made votive figure of the god Thot, depicted here seated as a Baboon holding a round object and very detailed with remnants of pigments.

Interesting, large figures like this are usuaully only encountered in faiance or stone so a scarce late representation in terracotta.

A rare large Harpocrates pottery figure Ptolemaic period3rd.-1st. century BC.

A mold-made terracotta votive figure of the god Harpocrates (Harpokrates), depicted here seated with large headdress, nude and his left hand finger in his mouth and the hand resting on his tigh.

Size: 15,5 cm. tall.

A massive, solid cast silver bracelet of the finest workmanship of the Achaimenid period, 5th-4th century BC.

The bracelet or armring would have been made for a very highranking / rich costumer in antiquity, since these are usually hollowcast, when this thickness and size. The silver bracelet with faux-twist and twisted wire details to the body, finials with serpent- or Lion head detailing.

Weight: ca. 410 grams.

An interestion and rare bronze battleaxe, European, late bronzeage-early Ironage period, 1st. millenium BC.

A beautiful axe, long slender type with mounting hole to the back and a slightly curving blade.

Size: 13,5 cm. long

Condition: Superb, fine green patina with a dusting of earthern encrustations.

This axe comes from a find in Germany and was offcially exported with a license.

A beautifully carved sculpture of a lady in an erotic pose, Gandharan, ca. 1st.-5th. century AD.

Clearly inspired by classical greek and roman art. She is holding her longs strands of hair and wearing garments that exposes her naked shoulder and arm. Archictorial piece, impresive size. Some remnants of pinkish pigments still on the surface. Mounted to a metal base.

Size: ca. 32-33 cm. tall and 20,5 cm. wide.

A nice figure, Coptic, Egypt, 1st. century BC - 1st. century AD.

Attractive female idol carved from a hollowed-out bone. The face is dominated by huge, round eyes and a small nose and mouth. The artist has also carved a round belly and female genitals.
