Fine early Tibet prayer Gau silver and copper box with natural torquise gemstones, 19th. cent.

Finely patinated and uncleaned for very long.

Size: 8,5 cm x 8,3 cm.

Ex. Private collection of Ulf Gudmundsen from the 1950s to 2007. An important collection of Tribal African and Asian antiques.

An interesting small collection of 9 bone carvings in the form of skulls, carved in the openwork, with lids at top and bottom, Tibetan c. 19th. century.

The group finely patinated and intact but some with loose lids. A set for ritual purposes.

Size: up to c. 3,3 cm. tall or less, but more of less of the same sizes.

Provenance: Collection of Gunna Munkvad, Denmark, aquired from the 1950s-1980s.

A lovely large bronze weight of an Elephant, nice early piece, Lanna, deep in the 18th. cent.

A very nicely shaped Elephant, standing on a 5-stepped octagonal base, with value mark in the front and adjustment marks under the base.

Weight: 65,15 grams = 5 Baht.

Condition: Superb, with smooth wear and attractive light brown patina.

Unusual features of the Elephant, nice clear value mark on the base.

A large and finely patinated bronze opium weight of the 20 Tical, square base, c. 1750-1780.

Sharp 9-ray verification / currency mark. Beautiful green patina and a super attractive specimen!

An extremely fine specimen of the Hamsa bird 10 tical bronze opium weights, Late Shan Empire, c. 1800s.

A superb type of Hamsa with smooth neck and one spike on a hexagonal base.

Weight: 164,4 grams = 10 tical.

Condition: Extremely Fine and with a lovely all silver patina!

Rarity: Common - but an exceptional specimen.
