Superb early Peking glass snuff bottle, Chinese dating to 1760-1780.

Bubble-suffused glass bottle of compressed globular form with translucent red overlay. The lip is flat, and the base has a thick oval foot ring that has been carved to reveal the slightly convex shape of the body. Old gilt stopper with no pin inside.

Size: 74 mm. tall.

Condition: Superb!. The bottle completely intact and perfect; the red glass & metal stopper with some light wear.

Architectorial carving of a temple alter, Northern India / Gandhara, early-mid 1st. millenium AD.

A very artful carving and quite decorative as well, depicting a building housing an alter and flanked by large collumns. The back uncarved and it would have been carved into a rock wall.

Finely mounted, floating on a black metal base.

Size: 35 cm. tall, incl. the mounting, 24 cm. for the temple alone. 16 cm. deep and 20 cm. wide...

Lovely large figural stele of Pavati, Eastern Java, Early Majapahit, c. 13th.-14th. cent. AD.

The figure is carved in grey-black Vulcanic rock with red iron-oxide patination.

In this sculpture the Hindu goddess Parvati, consort of Siva is represented. It was customary in Javanese sculpture of this period to identify local rulers with cult deities and it is possible that this image of Parvati is intended to represent a deceased east Javanese queen...

A wonderful early Indian bronze or brass Alter of Vishnu with consorts, Himachal Pradesh, c. 12th century AD.

Size: c. 12,3 cm. tall.

Condition: Finely patinated and with wear to high points like especially faces as is typical and a result of the long time worship.

Attractive old collection Chinese silver plated bronze mirror, Eastern Han dynasty, 25 AD - 220 AD.

Very sharp, high relief mirror with Chinese scriptsigns in a concenthric band, large central knob. A large and impressive mirror for the early type.

Condition: Extremely fine, much preserved silver on the surface. Fine patina of Cuprite colours, especially on the reflective side...

One of the largest genuine old Burmese bronze opium Weights, Burma, ca. 1750-1780 AD.

Size: Nearly 11 cm. high

Weight: ca. 1550 grams, which should date to the later part of 18th. century.

Condition: Superb, excarvated with smooth wear, fine dark and tinned patina with green dusty highlights, a beautiful piece.

A lovely and rare pottery bowl or bassin depicting domesticated cheetahs or leopards, Indus Valley, probably Nal culture, 3rd. millenium BC.

The vessel finely decorated overall with three felines with spotted furs, and chained to small symbolic trees. Larger trees as spacers and a band of Ibexes above. Concenthric decoration near the wide rim, all in brown on a beige ground.

A fine quality 19th. century wooden figure of Guanyin, with much laquer and fine filt overall, China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912).

An attractive figure of a fine style seated on a double lotus throne.

A nice old Chinese jade pendant of the Qing Dynasty, 18th.-19th. cent. AD.

The pendant is in the shape a double fruit with leafs and loop at the top carved in celadon Nephrite.

Fine early Tibetan/Mongolian Steel Fire Lighter in Leather case mounted with brass and iron and still with a piece of flint in the pocket inside, 18th.-19th. century.

A massive corner stone sculpture carved in greyish schist, Gandhara, c. 400-600 AD.

Interesting Pilaster from a corner with two reliefs, on it, candelabra with Buddha and bodhisattva and lying bulls on both sides at the top.

Size: c. 51 cm. tall and c. 22-23 cm. wide. Verry deep as well and almost triangular in shape.

Condition: F-VF, basically intact and almost fully covered with sandy encrustations - uncleaned. Chips and corrosion on exposed areas.

Condition: Choice Very fine, lovely old patina, with a fine chestnut brown colour from high copper content, much smooth wear.

A nice and scarce bronze axe, interesting asymethric form, designed for trust with a wide blade, Dong Son Culture, Annam region of present day Vietnam, 4th.-1st. cent. BC.

Enigmatic for the Dong Son culture and very attractive. The Dong Son Culture evolved semi-autonomous from the Han Empire in China until the powerful Han-dynasti Nanyue expanded south around 110 BC. and incoporated the region into the realm.

A very early and rare massive bronze figure of a seated deity, probably Sri Devi / Lakshmi, holding implements and tall headdress and a breast band around her sizable attributes, South Indian, perhaps Tamil Nadu, probably pre 17th. century!

Size: 88-89 mm. tall and weighing 260 grams.

Condition: Choice Very fine, lovely old patina, with a fine brown and green colours.

An attractive late medieval bronze opium weight in the old classical style featuring the unusual elongated octagonal base. Depicting a ‘Toe’ or lionbeast, Burma c. 1550 AD

Note the circular verification mark at the front of the base.
