An fine style terracotta head of bodhisattva, as a prins, Gandhara, c. 2nd.-4th. cent AD

Size: 85 mm. tall - a nice large size ancient head.

Condition: Very fine, repaired to face.

Important Chinese Archers thumb ring in lovely translucent spinach green Jade, 2nd. part of the 18th. century.

Wonderful old smooth polishing with rather thin walls. A rare antique artifact!

Typical Boat-shaped bronze axe with oval socket, made by the Dong Son Culture of the Annam region Vietnam, c. 300-100 BC.

Enigmatic for the Dong Son culture and attractive with it's boat form and vivid patina. The Dong Son Culture evolved semi-autonomous from the Han Empire in China until the powerful Han-dynasti Nanyue expanded south around 110 BC. and incoporated the region into the realm.

Size: 7 cm wide and 7,5 cm tall.

Condition: Very fine...

A nice pair of very scarce bronze bells with great patina and raised design, Chinese probably Warring States, BC.475-221 or earlier

Both are made for hanging and are decorated with geometrical patterns.

Size: c. 70 mm each.

Condition: Nice patinas, both with losses. One still has the gong.

A very rare gilt bronze Buddha, Southern Thailand Sri Vijaya/Javanese inspired local style, ca. 11th.-13th. century AD.

The Buddha stands erect with his right hand raised in abhaya mudra and his left gracefully extended alongside his body

Wonderful archaic Southern SE Asian style of his face with the pronounced brows, a flat nose and thick lips. His eyes are thick and downcast and he wears a slight smile. He is standing on a square pedestal.

An exceptionally large and attractive Linga / Lingam, depicting the head of Shiva, Gupta period, Madhya Pradesh, 4th.-5th. century AD.

The face of the Hindu god Shiva emerges from this linga, the emblem through which he is most commonly worshiped. Most lingas are non-figural, their abstracted phallic shape alluding to Shiva’s transcendent power and generative energy. Here, Shiva is also represented in anthropomorphic form, manifesting himself to devotees...

Attractive early antique Betel crusher instrument, Ceylon, 18th. century.

The piece in two parts, consisting of the betel knife with a Bird finial and the container where to put your nuts!

Size: 18 cm. tall when knife is inside and the bird on top, the knife is c. 16,5 cm. long by itself

Condition: Choice, fine chestnut brown bronze patina with fine smooth wear from use.

A large and very rare Anthropomorphic lidded bronze Lime Container, Bronze and Iron Age period, 3, Indonesia (Java, possible Lumajang, Pasiran), dating 2nd. century BC-1st. century AD.

Cylindrical body with a lid and extensive line and zig-zag decorations on the face body with applied bronze thread. On the lid a large archaic head of a female with elaborate applied hair, facial details and large earrings...

A beautifully carved Madura handle from a Javanese keris or Kriss, dating to 18th.-19th. century AD.

Fantastic condition for the medium and a very expressive carving. Lovely glossy amber-like patina.

A wonderful early Indian bronze or brass Alter of Vishnu with consorts, Himachal Pradesh, c. 12th century AD.

Condition: Finely patinated and with wear to high points like especially faces as is typical and a result of the long time worship.

An early decorative temple carving of a Taoist deity seated on a tiger, painted in black, red and gold, Qing dynasty, c. 17th.-18th. century.

Hidden room in the back, no lid, but still with content.

Size: c 28 cm. tall.

Condition: Good very fine for the type and age, intact with most of it's pigments still preserved. Minor cracks etc.

Provenance: Ulf Gudmundsen collection, c. 1950s-2007.

A pair of attractive brass figures of female dancers with musical instruments, Nepal, c. late 19th. century.

Each sealed with a cobber lid in the base.

Condition: Choice Very fine, evidence of polishing but still retaining old patina.

A lovely preserved early wooden Buddha, China, dating to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD), probably 16th. century.

Seated in dhyanasana, the arms lowered in dhyanamudra, holding an alms bowl, wearing long robes falling into voluminous folds and opening at the chest, the face with a benevolent expression with downcast eyes and a gentle smile flanked by long ears, the tightly coiled hair surmounted by an ushnisha. Comes with seperately made double lotus throne.
