A very rare massive bronze mace head, Neo-Assyrian Empire, c. 9th.-8th. cent. BC.

More massive in construction than the typical 2nd.-1st. millenium BC mace heads with the solid socket being 4,5 cm. wide. Assyrian design, where the balance is at the very top of the mace head, which is ending in a wide hexagonal star of flat, sturdy projections. High quality weapon with finely detailed profiles and line engravings.

Size: Diameter of the star shape is 9,2 cm...

A nice, polychrome terracotta container, Indus valley / Nal culture, c. 3rd. millenium BC.

Short cylindrical body, short neck with a wide rim. The rim and top of the vessel are decorated with patterns in red and black.

Size: 11,5 x 5,6 cm.

Condition: Choice. Intact bowl with slight wear. Á hairline crack to the vessel.

A very nice, decorated terracotta bowl, Indus valley / Nal culture, c. 3rd. millenium BC.

The bowl with globular body on a narrow base. The exterior decorated with zoomorphic motif, wave pattern and concentric rings.

Condition: Choice. Intact bowl with slight wear.

Interesting and very impressive massive armring, the bronze mixed with some silver to make a whiter alloy, Achaemenid or pre-Achaemenid period, ancient near east, 1st. mill. BC.

Thick and massive bracelet with complicated bimetalic design with twisted copper-wire, and larger twisted rods and ending in stylised animal heads. The bracelet with a lovely warm brown find patina.

Size: 83 mm. wide, weighing 407 grams.

Terrific hand axe from Northern Africa, Sahara Desert, Neolithic period, ca. 10,000 to 6000 BC.

A finely knapped bifacial axe with finely curving shape to a thick center and done in a lovely mottled brown silex or chert.

During this time period, weather conditions called the Neolithic Subpluvial meant that the Sahara was a green, fertile landscape, ideal for hunter and gathering cultures.

Size: 12,5 cm.

Condition: Near mint, fantastic patina!.

An extremely rare bronze Cauldron, probably Flemish or Northern European workshop, c. 13th.-14th. century AD.

Cauldrons prior to the 16th. century are very rarely seen on the market. This cauldron is excarvated and covered in the most beautiful patina. The shape is typical for European medieval period, the handles are curvy, ending in animal head-like terminals and very different from the Gothic style handles of the cauldrons in later periods...

An interesting lot of 4 bronze stamp seals with geomethric bases, Mesopotamia, BMAC and later, 3rd.-1st. mill. BC.

Comes with Gustav Oberländers Identification cards and from his collection.

A group of some very attractive stamp seals in black and red stones, Mesopotamia, Ubaid period to figural, 5th.-3rd. mill. BC.

There's a pair of hemispheric seals with animals, 3rd. mill. BC, an interesting round seal in red stone, probably early Ubaid or Halaf period and lastly a round seal with handle in black stone, finely engraved with bulls eyes and radiates, c. 4th. mill. BC.

Size: Up to 22 mm.

Pair of very fine specimen of the earliest metal daggers known, BMAC / Indus, Chalcolithic period, 4th.-3rd. millenium BC.

Interesting and collectable daggers! Flat, leafshaped blades and very long, twisted tangs.

Condition: Good Very fine, choice green patina and great metal.

A fine set of three bronze and copper daggers, East Caspian Sea area, 3rd.-2nd. mill. BC.

The set includes one extremely fine dagger of later fabric, probably 1200-800 BC with a long bend tang.

Lovely bronze battle axe, Ancient Near East, early 2nd. millenium BC.

Finely made battle axe with a long enforced and narrow blade with a ridge at the top and an elaborately made socket in a zoomorphic shape with a broad decorated backplate.

Size: 114 mm. long and 67 mm. tall.

Condition: Very fine, intact with a rough uncleaned encrusted green patina over beautiful brown and red surfaces. Can be cleaned.

Carved with s a strange looking animal in the base in very high relief.
