19th century or earlier Japanese sword set of fuchi (bordering piece between the sword guard and the handle) and kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with relief design of numerous butterflies in different attitudes, all on finely punched ground texture called nanako, which means “fish-eggs” as it resembles fine rows of caviar. Excellent quality work, wear to gilding as can be seen on photos. Kashira length 1 5/16 inches, fuchi length 1 7/16 inches.

Fine Chinese Southern Song Dynasty Incised Celadon Porcelain Bowl (19cm)

This high-fired bowl was made during the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1127 - 1279) in the 12th or 13th century at the Anqi kilns in Fujian province. Such wares were made for export around south-east Asia; indeed this bowl has been recovered from a shipwreck and various sea-growths still adhere to the surface in places, particularly to the unglazed base...

A superb pair of hanging scrolls depicting a group of Japanese beauties set in two seasons, spring and summer. The scroll is mounted in fine damask silk in the san-dan style. Unusual high quality scroll ends with reticulated scrolling vine silver covers. The scroll comes with a box inscribed: Ukiyoe shichiken mitate, which roughly translates to An ukiyoe painting arranged in the seven sages style. Age: Taisho Period Size: Each height 88.5" width 40"

Japanese Imari charger finely enameled with panels of two phoenixes on stylized floral scrolling grounds - all in green, red, blue and purple enamel with gilding. The reverse side is decorated in underglaze blue with karakusa scroll pattern and with fork shaped factory mark. The phoenix (Ho-o in Japanese) is a mythological bird known to appear in time of peace and prosperity. It symbolizes immortality, resurrection and life after death...

An individual eating table for serving the meal of the day or drinks and treats to your guests. This table measures about 11" high x 16 1/2" in diameter, and dates to the late Joseon Dynasty. The table has a solid, heavy, carved twelve sided, hardwood top (elm), and a softer wood (like ginkgo) was used for the supporting structures, legs and stretchers. It has all been put together with fitted groves and wooden pegs...

Authentic Antique Chinese, late Qing Dynasty, large handmade opaque white Peking Glass- Beijing Glass bowl of lobed flower head form, with quatrefoil rim and raised indented foot. The bowl has a bumpy and very shiny surface except for the center of the base which has a matte finish.

CONDITION: large chip on the rim, please see the photo. No cracks, no repairs, or restorations.

A good Chinese export dish of moulded Chrysanthemum form decorated in underglaze blue and iron red and gilding. The border divided into a series of sixteen panels containing various floral motifs including chrysanthemum, Pinks and other autumn flowers. The centre decorated with rocks, Peonies and a bird, presumably a Magpie, to complete an auspicious wish for happiness, wealth and longevity. The dish measures 27 cm in diameter and approximately 5 cm high...

Unusual Thai architectural sculpture known as a chofa. These beast-like ornaments embellish temple and palace rooftops as a symbol of power and protection. Natural patina and remnants of red show antiquity. A photo is shown to demonstrate how a chofa would look while still in place on a temple roof. The temple shown is in Chiang Mai, the largest and most culturally rich city in Thailand.
