Large snuff bottle, made of silver, of circular and flat shape, lavishly decorated with animal, floral and geometric design on one side and foliage, lotus and geometric design on the other side. Tiny silver stopper at the end of a small spout on top of the bottle. Opening on one side to allow access to the tobacco powder, with relief stylised lotus decor, on one of the two sides. This marked bowl is one of 2 bowls which do come from an old German colletion. The condition of the glaze of the bowl is so perfect and glossy that it simply is impossible that this bowl an excavated piece. The glaze of this bowl is so much better than the glaze of excavated pieces so that this bowl must be an rare unearthed piece which already in very early times - maybe hundreds of years ago - came to Europe.
