A nicely decorated Japanese porcelain Satsuma bowl, with scalloped edge, showing groups of women and men and Buddhist Monks. The bowl is marked Meiji period (1868-1912, and gives the makers' name as being "Kinkozan". The bowl measures about 2" high x 4 3/4" in diameter, and the condition is excellent. 19th century netsuke carved as a fox sitting on a base with 4-character seal bottom and scenes with lobsters and shells on the sides. This particular fox represents Inari - the benevolent and well disposed creature, being the messenger of the God of rice and harvest, as opposed to the other foxes, which in Japan are generally believed to be evil creatures. This is a finely carved Japanese Netsuke depicting four Karakos, in their typical garb, forming a musical group and playing their instruments. Very charming piece. Unsigned. Netsuke measures 1.48 inches (3.8cm) wide, and 1.06 inches (2.7cm) tall.

18 English Mintons Porcelain Bread & Butter Plates, 6 1/4" diameter, 7/8" high, Brilliant etched raised gold rim on wider Cobalt Blue border. "Mintons Est. 1793 England" in purple, "g6262" in red on the bottom include impressed mark, and the condition of gold is in excellent condition.

Child Jesus as a Good Shepherd ivory statuette on a pedestal. He is naked and his face is gently leaned. His hairs are sculpted in fine strand of hair shaping curls. His almond eyes and his fixed look suggest a mystic and pensive attitude. The Christ child is seated, he is in a deeply meditation...

Pair of dark blue cloisonne vases with scenes of birds among reeds. The base and mouth of the vases are bordered with an intricate design. The backs of the vases have a simple depiction of reeds with grasses. They measure 1.75" wide at base 11" tall. The bases are both signed with the same signature. Meiji period, 1868-1912.

Gong-shaped brush washer for use on scholar’s table. Covered overall in a glossy, clear glaze and decorated only with two concentric rings of cobalt blue encircling the mouth. The clear glaze reveals the fine white porcelain body. There are a few characteristic pinholes in the glaze on both the exterior and interior surfaces. The narrow, well-carved footring is unglazed, showing the dense white porcelain paste...

This wooden manju netsuke is modelled to represent a Japanese gong. Decorated with a spider and web, this piece is signed and is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or restoration.
