A rare and very well painted enamel wine ewer - with documentary decoration in Chinese taste possibly depicting the story of the Daoist Immortal Lu Dong Bin. Condition - there is an 18th Century iron replacement handle; there are surface marks and there are enamel losses around the finial on the cover( enlargement no.6) and to the tip of the spout (enlargement no.1)...

A superb early Qing Shunzhi - Kangxi wucai baluster jar, this large jar has straight neck, broad shoulders with sides tapering towards and flat unglazed base. This jar is painted in under glaze blue and over glaze red, green, and yellow over glaze enamel, there is scenery of human motif in four panel radiating on each side, neck with flower motif.
Jar is in good condition with faint hairline at the rim, no chip, no restoration.

This pair of soft paste porcelain ovoid jars are decorated in underglaze cobalt blue of a strong sapphire tone. Both jars are decoarted with identical designs of foo lions at play with various stylized cloud elements filling in the background. Surround the neck is a thin line design that forms a six-pointed star when viewing straight down from the top. The necks of both jars are unglazed and originally would have had dome-shaped lids...

A very rare Song dynasty celadon Guan type large bowl, rounded side with deep center and glazed base, bowl decorated with raising lotus petal motif at exterior, crackled glaze and covered with grayish green glaze.
Bowl is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, there is an original short line from kiln firing at the rim.

This hand made 19th century Chinese sterling silver inkwell is 2 ½ inches long, 2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches high. It depicts a cormorant sitting on a fishing basket. It has “sterling silver” (in Chinese) stamped on the bottom and a glass container inside. It has nice patina and is in excellent condition.

A fascinating Japanese shrine bell known as, Waniguchi, or directly translated as Crocodile's mouth, which resembles the wide mouth of a crocodile. The bell is usually found in shinto shrines that enshrine deities that were imported to Japan or Shingon temples. The bell contains an inscription stating that the bell was originally donated by the ancestors of the donor in 1686 and a new bell was rededicated in 1839. The bell appears to be dedicated to Sometani Shinbei. Age: Late Edo Period, 1839. ...
