This is a Mogolian wine cup with coral and turqoise beads. Good condition, except for one loose coral bead.

A six sided Nyonya bowl with three "gold" fish and sea plants for good luck. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: 15cm. H. 5.6cm. Condition: No repairs or chips. Some wear on the inside of the bowl.

This is suoh of samurai's hitatare full dress in Edo-meiji period (upper part). The material is hemp of the handspun & natural indigo dye.Textile seems to be hand spun and woven, and has soft touch. This traditional antique basket purse was made and used by the men of the tiny island of Balika,Indonesia. The patina shows both the age and the wear pattern. This is one of a pair of "old purses" which were brought back to the US by an Anthropology intern who spent a summer studying and documenting the lives of the islanders in 1980.
