Fine Japanese antique engraved damascene cigarette case, observe side decorated with landscape scene and reversed side with boats and birds in flight, inside box is also decorated with birds in flight, late 19th century period. This is Japanese Antique Scale from late Edo 1860's. The scale is made of Bone Rod with three different tick marks on the rod. You can measure, 17 Monme (68.75 gram), 50 Monme (187 gram), and 160 Monme (600 gram). Monme is old Japanese weight scale. The scale bone rod came with brass round tray with threads. Three top threads are used for when measure. It came with also heavy solid copper weight...

A Fine Large Japanese Imari Bowl, Meiji, 19th Century.

A fine and substantial Arita Imari rinka bowl. Six panels, inside and out, are alternatively decorated with ho-o birds and flowers.

The centre of the bowl depicts the shochikubai, the three friends of winter. A suggestion of breaking waves can also be observed to the left of the screens.

A meandering vine with various flowers surround a central kotobuki or good luck character. The back is decorated with various lingzhi motifs and within the foot-rim is a apocryphal Chinese Ming reign mark for Jiajing.

1900-1920s (late Meiji - early Taisho) Japanese pottery Kyoto ware chaire (tea caddy for storing powdered green tea used in tea ceremony) in double gourd shape with enamel decoration of brocade pattern with leaves, branches and flowers. Beautiful finely crackled glaze, wonderful slightly crooked upper part of the gourd giving the piece extra character. The foot shows stoneware body with concentric lines. A small 19th century Chinese porcelain joss holder in the form of a seated hound, covered in a mottled dark umber glaze revealing the white beneath in places and patches of light blue on each side. An unusual piece and may be one-of-a-kind, we are dating circa 1900 or a little earlier. On an integral rectangular bracket base, it measures 3.75 inches high, 2.75 long.

A Tibetan Bronze figure of Shakyamuni, 19th century or earlier.

Buddha sat in a mediative pose, one hand in his lap, the other connects to the earth. The head has been dressed with gold paint, the hair exhibits traces of blue. A good quality sculpture that seems to have had a hard life and has seen better days. There is a bruise to each upper arm, one larger than the other and some distortion to the bottom of the lotus base.

AN ARITA BLUE & WHITE MOKKO DISH, 2ND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY.

An attractive mokko (lobed) and moulded dish decorated with a figure seated beneath mist enshrouded trees. The cavetto is moulded with swirls and flowers, the rim with a dark iron rich kuchibeni dressing.

Approximately 22.5 cm wide. Fine original undamaged condition.

A Famille Rose Sauce Boat of European silver shape. Decorated with sprays of flowers tied with gilt ribbons. Qianlong C1750. Length: 8 3/8″ (21.3 cm). Condition: good condition, there is glaze frit to the base of the handle and to a tip on the rim with some wear to the gilding in the interior.

Rare Javanese hand fan, made circa 1890 - 1905. The fan portion is a made of water buffalo hide that has been very ornately pierced, painted, and gold gilt. The delicate looking frame is made from water buffalo horn, which has been finely carved and curved. There are no condition issues save for a loose thread or two that can be clipped or reattached. Measures 10.25" by 9" across.
