19th century Chinese export napkin ring carved on the outside with a continuous scene of Chinese scholars in different settings. Wonderful work with deep undercutting, beautiful patina, in excellent condition. Carved with a numeral 1 in raised oval reserve. Inside diameter 1 1/2 inches, height 5/8 inches.

Japanese Meiji period wood eight-drawer ko-tansu (personal chest) with black iron lockplates and hirute form handles. 19th century. 20 3/4" high x 14" wide x 13" deep. Very good overall condition with only minor wear. From a Phoenix, Arizona collection.

An antique Japanese Tansu chest called Todana made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Hikute style handles with an Urushi lacquer finish. Two sliding doors open to a storage area with a removable shelf where books were stored. Five drawers below provide additional storage and function.

A completely hand formed and detailed fresh water coup in the form of a highly stylized archaic duck. This sancai water pot dates late Qing, circa 1880, and is pattern after the porcelains of the Song dynasty. A great item for the collector of scholar items. Measures 3" long x 2.5" high at head.

19th century Chinese rock crystal seal in a shape of a tall and narrow mountain peak characteristic of Southern China. Very beautiful stone with few natural cloudy areas by the bottom, excellent quality carving of 4 sunken characters on the bottom, very fine polish to the surface. Traces of red seal paste in the grooves, imprint of the seal is shown on Enlargement 1. Several tiny nicks to edges as to be expected on an old piece. Very good object for scholar’s table. Height 1 3/4 inches.

Three(3) Chinese Export Porcelain Rose Mandarin Demitasse Cups and three(3) Export Porcelain Rose Medallion Demitasse size Saucers, Ca. cups-1830-1840, saucers-1860's, both designs are typical Roses and Mandarin figures in the garden. They are not set but will go together, they were made in different times. Saucers have couple hairline cracks and one of saucer has chips on the bottom rim, cups are in fine condition and large Mandarin figures are all around outside the cup.

Massive Japanese Arita porcelain punch bowl decorated in underglaze blue with four alternating dragon and phoenix panels surrounded by a dense background of floral and geometric forms set against a white ground. The center features a treasure ship among kiri (pawlonia) crests, flaming pearls, and patterned balls. The outer wall holds four floral sprays set between bands at the rim and foot. A double foot ring base dates the bowl to circa 1870 (early Meiji period). 20 1/4" diameter x 7 1/4" high...

Chinese Export Rose Medallion porcelain covered dressing jar or box, circa 1870's, 2 5/8" high, 2 1/4" diameter, with overglaze Famille Rose color of figures inside windows and borders with pink floral decoration. No damages or restoration.

Three antique hexagonal Chinese silver cups decorated with figures, bamboo and plum twigs. Base marked "KC" and Chinese characters (according to Adrien von Ferscht: a silversmith active 1825-1900 in Canton). Two with original glass inserts. Dimension: c. 4.3 cm wide x 3.5 cm high, weight silver: 74 g. Condition: one glass insert lost, the other ones with small rim chips.
