We usually don't buy kimonos but this is a spectacular example of the highest level of yuzen kimono art. Late Meiji Period C.1900 yuzen hand painted chirimen silk girl's kimono. Chirimen silk being the top class of silk used for kimonos. A Chinese White Glazed Water-Dropper with Pigeon. Circa 12th-14th Century, Song-Yuan Dynasty. Found in the Philippines. This water-dropper features a qingbai-type glaze that covers its entire body and stops short of its foot. Two loop handles sit on its shoulders and its neck is decorated with carved circles. A figure of a pigeon rests on top of the vessel and its base remains unglazed. This vessel was probably used by scholars for pouring water to wet ink, used for calligraphy...

Porcelain covered with celadon glaze to the foot and decorated with floral carved motif, unglazed base. PERIOD : Yue ware 9th Century MEASUREMENTS: 12 cm wide, 5 cm tall. CONDITION : Perfect, no chips, cracks or hairlines and free from restorations.

A beautifully decorated famille rose/verte hexagon shaped tazza with 5 different brightly coloured gold fish swimming in a hexagon shaped pond surrounded by water lilies, lotus and water plants. The underside of the tazza is decorated with iron red bamboo leave. The base of the tazza bears the four-character minyao reign mark of Tongzhi (1862-1874) and of the Qing Dynasty period.

The gold fish tazza is in good condition with no restoration...

Antique Japanese large roll of unsewn, brocade obi fabric, in deep blue silk with gold, orange, and gray, with imagery of pine trees on a blue wave background. Hand woven with fine detail and excellent Gold threading.

Bronze pagoda cast in 3 parts. The bronze is very old, it has an excellent patina which makes me think it is from the Ming period or earlier. The casting is rustic, it has some defects. Probably a very old provincial work.The 4 sides of the pagoda are open with 4 doors with 2 bronze panels, opening and closing as needed. This makes a total of 8 panels for the 4 doors. 2 doors lead to 2 staircases with balusters...

Chinese Qing dynasty "GE" type saucer dish. 12'6 cm diameter. Good conditions.

Outstanding 18th. Century heavy casting of Buddha, both hands grasping flowers, eyes in serene expression, with incised robes extending towards a double-lotus base. It would appear that this piece may have at one point in time had a mandorla mounted to the backside.

Measures 6.5 in. (16 cm) in height.

A sweetmeat dish consisting of 1 central hexagonal dish surrounded by 6 fan-shaped dishes. Each dish has a straight side and is decorated in the center with one of the seven gods of good fortune, shichifukujin in overglaze enamels and gold on cream colored stoneware. The central dish holds the image of the only female member of the shichifukujin: Benzaiten.

The central dish is signed on the back Gyokuzan in a red and gold cartouche...

19th century boxwood netsuke of two scholar-hermits wearing simple robes and leaf capes and skirts, totally absorbed by the game of GO. Perfectly captured mood of quiet concentration. Very good assured carving, great faces, wonderful detailing of leaf capes, beautiful mellow patina. Signed SEIZAN in rectangular reserve on the bottom - the artist is listed on p. 928 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick. Height 1.22 inches.
