This late 19th century Chinese hippopotamus tooth carving of a riverside landscape is 7 1/8” long, 1 ¾” high and 2” wide. The fitted carved hard wood stand is 8” long, 2 ¼” wide and 1 1/8” high. This set of 10 porcelain luncheon plates was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1901. They have date ciphers indicating this year. They were made especially for the high end retailer, Ovingtons, of New York. They measure 8 inches square. They are all artist signed by S. Stanley. The plates are made of the finest quality bone china. The borders of the plates are ruby red with an adjoining 1 3/4 inch area of ivory color ground...

This crystal vase was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the 1880s. It is 12 inches long and 9 inches high. The glass has a lead content and rings when tapped. It is hand blown and has applied glass features. It is formed in the shape of a cornucopia. The glass is dark, sea green. The entire body of the vase is covered with intricate enameled decoration. The flowers and ornamental swags in vivid raised enamels are completely done by hand. The vase is accented with profuse gilding...

This antique Chinese small wooden tobacco container would have been looped on a belt. It is probably ethnic minority, and hand carved by its intended user. Such folk art artifacts are now rare and hard to find on the market.

Measures 3 inches tall, and comes with original hand twisted cord, and is in very good condition

This porcelain casket was produced in Italy in the late 19th century by Capodimonte. It measures 11 1/2 inches long, 7 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches high. It has a gilt metal frame with hinges and a latch to close it. The porcelain is molded with high relief scenes and ornamentation. Greek gods, nude figures, cherubs and animals cover the surface. It even has dolphins. They are done in bright, colorful enamels. The casket is profusely gilded. It is in excellent condition.

This pair of bronze candlesticks was produced in France in the late 19th century. They measure 6 3/4 inches high and the base has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. There are 3 areas on the candlesticks that have the champlevé enamel decorations, the cup that holds the candle, the bobeche and the base. The enamel decoration is elaborate and very colorful. There are girl and boy cherub figures creating the shaft of both pieces. They are in excellent, antique condition.

Thick antique cotton futon fabric, Aizome Japanese indigo dye and the design is drawn in Tsutsugaki paste regist. Color Loss. 49" wide x 61" long.

This is a fine example of the San Patrice, Hope Variety, early Archaic or transitional Paleo point dating to around 8000BC. It was found in Jasper County, Texas. It is made from translucent fossilized palmwood. It is fluted on both sides. It is 1/1/2" long and the base is ground. The edges are serrated. Antique Japanese kanzashi, hair comb, hand carved on “urushi" lacquer (natural lacquer produced only from the threes that grow in certain parts of Asia) and decorated in make with a rooster on a drum surrounded by auspicious flowers. The design comes from an ancient Chinese poem that describes the era that was ruled by Emperor Yao who was known for his wisdom and fairness. The poem reads, “The drum for raising alarms is now covered in deep moss, and the fowls are left undisturbed”...

Japanese hair comb decorated with a pair of love birds, Oshidori (Mandarin ducks) perched on a plum tree, raised gold makie with silver, kirikin and shells. The theme here is auspicious. We counted 33 teeth in 3 cm, amazingly skillful hand work. Excellent condition - actual color loss in the center area of wooden teeth is not so obvious as shown in the photos.
