A rare, finely potted, small deep dish, well painted with "famille verte" enamels and decorated in scholar's taste with precious objects . This item was made in Jingdezhen, China circa 1700-1722 during the reign of the Kangxi emperor. A good abalone shaped, awabi-gata, Ko Imari dish decorated in some-nishikide style with a sansui style Landscape. The reverse decorated in under-glaze blue with boats and islands and within the foot-ring and within a single ring a mountain fuku, good fortune, mark. The dish measures 6.5 inches or 16.5cm in length and 5.125 inches or 13cm in width, and 1.5 inches or 4cm in height, and is in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Shipping at Cost.

This piece is in one of the eight prescribed peach bloom shapes that were designed for the scholar’s table. The base is marked with a properly written six character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue. This pot is well-potted in conformance with the shape of these vessels, rising from a slightly demarked foot visible on the outside as a light trimming line. The walls bulge outward and turn in at the shoulder which rounds to a depressed mouth opening...
