Ruby Red Overlay Glass Snuff Bottle - Aquatic Sea Life
This is a fine, flattened, Pear shaped snuff bottle, with a round elongated neck, and a raise oval footing, decorated with a ruby red overlay on a snowflake ground, in relief, depicting various aquatic plant and sea life. It comes with a light green glass stopper. This snuff bottle shows signs that it was actually used as such. It still has some sort of material inside. The bottle is in great preserved condition...

Chinese Yuan - Ming dynasty celadon glaze vase or jar. 19 cm high. Jar has small chipped at the mouth rim on restoration. Similar jar found on museum describe as Yuan dynasty from Dongmen Kiln.
A beautiful and rare Wilhelm Kralik vase on metallic stand (Kralik was a contemporary of Loetz). The vase has the 'Sea Urchin' surface decor. The vase is in excellent condition - the metal has age-appropriate tarnishing. The vase has a polished pontil. Overall, the vase is 8 1/2 inches (21,5 cm) tall and 6 inches (15 cm) wide. Though unsigned, the vase is guaranteed to have been made by Kralik (refer to page 4 under Kralik at the loetz website for similar type of Kralik surface decoration).
Late 19th century brass whale oil lamp featuring a very unusual footed base with a delicately decorated edge. Has a chain for which to add a wick trimmer, snuffer, or other accoutrement. A wonderful piece for the collector, it is very good condition. Measures 19" high and 6.5 " square at the base.
Gourd shaped pouch with brick stitch embroidery of auspicious signs and characters. Chinese c 1900, the inside with a paper label saying (No)7 China. Height "7/ 18.5 cm. Condition: fine, apparently never used.
A marvelous and very rare Victorian patchbox, the body carved from a single piece of ivory and the cut crystal lid enclosing a cameo incrustation (“sulphide”) depicting a pansy. A ribbon tied around the flower’s stem reads “a moi”. This is a clever play on words. The French word for pansy is “pensé”, which is very nearly the same word used to mean “thought”. So, when combined with the words on the ribbon, the sulphide expresses the sentiment “Thoughts of me”...
Beautiful thick bronze hollow votive figure in the shape of Dainichi Nyorai sitting on a lotus base, former part of a kakebotoke. His head gear finely engraved with floral motives. Bronze with dark brown patina and traces of gilding. Kamakura period, 14th century.

This is a pale celadon and russet jade plaque, dating to the Qing dynasty. The piece is entirely worked by hand, with no indication of modern/machine carving (or re-carving). It measures 2-1/2 inches in length and has been perforated lengthwise to permit it to be strung with a cord and worn. The reverse side has been carved with a series of symbols. This is a rare Wan type chawan, around 400 years old in shape close to a tenmoku tea bowl. It is thrown on a wheel from coarse, unrefined iron bearing clay.
The grey ash glaze has been painted on the body with a straw brush as seen on Korean hakeme chawan. A stone in the wall has exploded in the fire - a very sought after effect ( see pic number 2 ), giving this type of Karatsu bowls its name: ishihaze (exploding stone)...
