Pair Chinese Rose Quartz hardstone carved Foo Lions on carved hardwood stands, 19th century, 3 3/4" high with stand and 2 3/4" high without stand, 3 1/4" wide, 2 1/4" deep, with open mouth. There are some natural grains and infusions on the tail and head area. Round hole on the bottom and also on the stand, and tiny chips on the front paw area.
A finely carved and beautiful handle from a brush, Song style, but perhaps later 19th. century, we're not certain.
Carved with animals and scrolls, a small loop at the top.

A genuine Guangxu Da Ya Zhai Porcelain Turquoise Bowl (1875-1908) with period markings and a lobed rim. Size: H. 3.5" x 8" top diameter and 3" bottom diameter. Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this fragmented, but still lovely Egyptian blue faience offering cup with cartouche. Elegant sterling silver footed basket with flaring, reticulated sides and a hoop handle. The swirling pattern of the piercing echoes the basket's scalloped rim. The top of the handle has a reserve for a monogram, but was never monogramed. The bottom has Durgin's early hallmark and the retailer's mark "Hodson, Kennard & Co." Many of Durgin's earlier products were sold through such upscale Boston retailers.

An ancient-medieval bronze bowl of the high tin content 'white bronze' type with engravings of the Gaznavids, dating to c. 10th-11th. century AD.
A massive bowl, likely a food bowl for really large parties. The interior of the bowl is almost completely covered with fine azurite patina and when cleaned would reveal the fine design of incised circles-dots (bulls-eye) and perhaps hexacons as well; the exterior is cleaned and plain.

A very good jasper ground glass paperweight by St. Louis. The sole decoration is the pink and white jasper cushion which completely fills the dome. The glass is heavy and nicely clear. The polished concave bottom has relatively wide basal ring.
Origin: France, ca. 1850. Condition: excellent, a surface nick on one side about 1/2" above the base and a tiny fleabite about two-thirds up the side of the crown. Size: 2-3/4" diameter; 1-3/4" high.
