A very unusual and attractive, larger stamp seal, round and conical, the back with a large high relief cross, North Mesopotamia or Syria, c. 4th. millenium BC.

Carved in a black stone and the face of the seal, engraved with crossed line design.

Size: 27 mm. in diameter.

Condition: Good Very fine for the elaborate type, fine wear and patina, basically intact...

Interesting stamp seal in white stone, Egyptian inspired style of the western Mesopotamia, c. 2nd. mill. BC.

A round white stone seal with a fine quality engraving in a fine Egyptianized style of Syria, 2nd. millenium BC. The seal depicts a Vulture on top of a reclining horned animal, probably a bull, and a snake in between.

Size: c. 19 mm. tall and 14 mm. wide.

A very beautifully carved and polished stamp seal, Syro-Levantine, c. 1st. millenium BC.

A very elaborately carved seal with a tall handle, carved in a cream stone, very glossy! The seal is carved with a depiction of a large bird attacking a smaller animal, perhaps a sheep. Highly unusual.

Attractive translucent stone, rarely seen as a material for early period scaraboids. Finely polished with curving sides in a peculiar squarish shape. Quite nicely engraved motif, better than the imprint indicates...

A large and profusely engraved blackstone cylinder seal, Western Mesopotamia / Cappadocia, 2000-1600 BC.

Very interesting with a bird-headed deity seated in front of a fierce winged demon standing on the back of an animal; with multiple creatures, insect-like and other animals on the entire surface.

Size: 26 mm. tall and 17 mm. wide so an impressive seal in hand.

Condition: Extremely fine with some mild corrsoion in parts and fine patina with redish deposits...

A choice green stone stamp seal with fine archaic engravings of animals in the base, Late Ubaid-Uruk, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

A large black serpentine cylinder seal, showing a horseman in infight with a rearing Bull and an eight-pointed star in the fields. Middle-assyrian, 14th - 10th century BC.

The scene is quite rare with the detailed horseman!

Height: close to 40 mm and thick with a diameter of 15 mm. – quite impressive in hand.

Condition: Good Very fine for the type. Couple of small dings to the lower edge but outside the motif. Interestingly, the interior is filled with bronze...

A fine lot of 5 stone stamp seals of the hemispheric or button-shape in different kind of stones incl. serpentine and chlorite, North/west Mespotamian 5th.-4th. millenium BC.

The seal bases mainly engraved with different cruci- forms, but there's also a much earlier Halaf period seal in this lot.

A lovely untouched and intact massive terracotta jar, Indus valley / Amri-Nal culture, c. 3rd. millenium BC.

A very high quality jar with painted bulls on either side of a fancy tree and a band of Ibexes at the top.

Condition: Extremely fine for type, intact with fully preserved glazed decoration.

Seal pendant or amulet, finely carved in a zoomorphic style, as a head of an animal, possibly made to ellude a pigs head, Mesopotamia, Uruk - Jemdet Nasr period, 3500-2900 BC.

A wonderful amulet with refined polished details and a nice archaic grit pattern in the base.

Size: 21-22 mm.

A fine intact stone wig / separate hair, BACTRIA-MARGIANA COMPLEX, late 3RD- early 2ND mill B.C.

Separately made hair of green chlorite for a large composite stone figure. These have often lost their hair, since they were not tightly fixated and would have fallen off and cracked.

A very detailed and elaborate wig or hair carved with groves.

A high quality trapezoid stamp seal of the Neo-Babylonian type, 8th.-6th. cent. AD.

unusual and very beatiful stone used to carve this accomplished seal in antiquity. The stone is a banded agate with red inclusions, carved and polished in a an octagonal and pyramidal shape.

The seal engraved with a springing stagg or deer.

Size: 20 mm. tall and 18 mm. wide at the base.

Condition: Choice and intact, minor ancient wear.
