A brass wired green and brick red dragon writhes about the brown goldstone surface of this early Meiji 14" charger.

Condition: Good, with pitting usual to pieces of the period and a couple of slight nicks to the brass rim. No chips, hairlines or repairs.

Antique Japanese jingasa helmet, made of riveted iron panels in black lacquered, with the inside of the helmet is lacquered in red. On the front is a large ume (plum blossom) mon (family crest) belonging to the Maeda Family (ruler of the Kaga). Since the helmet is made all of iron it attests to the wealth and influence of the Maeda clan. It is more than likely that this particular helmet was worn in battle showing ware that is consistent of its age. Original lacquer and patina...

Enamel decoration of Ho-o (Japanese mythological Phoenix) in the Kakiemon pallete - black, red, blue, green, yellow and gold overglaze enamel - applied over the glaze inside the dish. A terrific set of three finely made silver vessels, Pre-Columbian Inca Empire, 13th.-15th. century AD.

The set consists of a larger and very attractive hammered silver bowl (11 cm. in diameter and 70 grams), along with two smaller items, a votive rattling beaker (5,8 cm. tall and 19,34 grams) and a small thick dish (5 cm. in diameter and 17,13 grams).

Condition: Superb! Completely intact and the large bowl with iridecent patina.

Chinese Export Blue and White covered deep serving Tureen or Dish, Ca. 1800-1820, 5 1/2" high, 9 1/4" x 8 1/4" wide, with cut corner shape and Pine Cone Knob on top, very nice soft underglaze blue with sampan floating in the lake, pavilion and pagoda under willow tree next to bridge. Underglaze blue is just right for the type of Canton ware for early period. The condition is good.

A Chinese buffalo horn box, the front and back panels carved deeply with writhing dragons and the sides with auspicious characters. The cover shows two confronting dragons.The quality of the carving and the condition of the box are excellent; there are a small hole in the centre of the base and one in the cover...

This is a fine, well-hallowed, Aventurine Glass Snuff Bottle of robust circular rounded form, with a high rounded neck, a flat wide lip, and a raised oval flat foot. The slightly translucent stone is made up of thousands of clustered gold and bronze colored sand-like particles within a brown colored ground. It comes with a green jade stopper with spoon.

This excellent looking bottle is in remarkable preserved condition...

Zen triptych scroll by Sesson Shukei (1504?-1589) The set of three are paintings of a radish and nappa cabbage with Lao Tzu riding a bull as its centerpiece. Scroll set comes with a box with paper labels naming the object and figure in the painting. One label reads that one of the Kano Eisen (the first or second) had provided an opinion, but the orignal document does not exist anymore. Age: Late Muromachi 16th century. Size (for all three approx.) Height: 74.25" Width: 18.3" (with ends): 20.5"

Japanese Imari Porcelain Octagonal flared out shape Bowl, Ca. Meiji period, before 1900, 10 1/4" wide, 4 1/4" high, with Pine and floral design in rich overglaze enamel in 4 separate panels, other 4 panels have fruits with seeds in underglaze blue, all highlighted with brilliant gold throughout inside and outside the bowl. Gold design is worn on top of the rim slightly, no cracks, no restorations, no damages.

Five dynaties yue "MISE" bowl with lotus pattern outside wall. 17,8cm diameter. Bowl has three short hairlines and views small chipped at the rim. No restorations.

Small pendant in the shape of a standing horse, with a loop on top of its back for attachement to a necklace. Bronze, green patina in the recesses. China, Ordos Civilization, Ca. 2nd century. Height: 3.7 cm. Length: 4.5 cm. Nicely mounted on a custom plexi stand. Very good condition.

Very Rare Pattern, Amygdaloidal Basalt Snuff Bottle of Flattened Circular shape, supported on an oval footrim, the gently slopping shoulders rising to a cylindrical neck; the mottled mostly brown stone ground suffused by gray-green-tan, orange epidote and calcite irregular but attractive intrusions. Well-hollowed. It was probably made during the Qing Dynasty, 1760-1850...

Statue of Buddha, in monk's robes, sitting cross-legged on an oval throne, his hands in "bhumisparsa mudra" posture. Alabaster. Burma, 18th century. Height: 9.9 cm. Good condition, despite slight abrasion due to age.

The coin was well casted and was preserved in very good condition.
By the well-known manuscripts 瘦金體of Emperor Song Hui-Zong宋徽宗,the coin exemplifies the cultural achievement of Song Dynasty(A.D.960-1279).

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Italy by Caopdimonte between 1740 and 1745. It bears a rare “Fleur de Lis” mark under glaze. The saucer is 5 1/4 inches in diameter and is 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 3/4 inches high with a diameter of 2 3/8 inches. The porcelain is highly translucent with egg shell quality. It has a parchment hue and has imperfections in the glaze. The cup shape and handle are very similar to Meissen cups of that time...

Two small different shaped photo frames. Made of steel with gold damascene. The larger in the Moorish style with arabesques in the shape of a mihrab, the small one in oval form, backsides gilt. Condition: few traces of usage, the oval one without glass. Dimension: c. 13.8 x 7.8 cm and 8.4 x 6.4 cm.

Rare silver mounted boar's tusk opium pipe from the Himalayas in the Tibetan area. The bowl is in the form of a dragon's head with dark blue glass eyes and has a cover fashioned as the dragon's nose with a chain attached. Marked 925. This is real treasure for the collector and is in excellent working condition. Following the outer curve it measures 7.5 inches. Dates circa 1900.

A cover composed of several pieces, lined with green fabric. Blue ground with brocaded boteh pattern in metal wrapped threads. Provenance: a gentleman's collection, Geneva - Switzerland. Condition: wear - mostly only the yellow silk core left. Short parts of selvages undone, one small mend, two small holes, few thin areas . Dimension: 92 cm x 125 cm.

Chinese Qing (Kangxi or Yongzheng) Dynasty deep cobalt blue under-glaze snuff bottle depicting a Dragon in the clouds and a smaller Dragon in the waves near the base. Wonderful shape, vivid colors with beautiful artistry. Unfortunately, there are several chips at the base and this piece is therefore priced accordingly. Cork stopper, no lid. Height 2.75 inches, width 1.5 inches.

Cheerful Chinese large bamboo brush pot featuring several scenes which consist of a boy and girl feeding five little biddies (chicks), a man dancing, a dog barking, and 4 boys playing hide and seek. All in a garden setting with a fence and mountainous rocks. In very good condition, there is some old insect damage to the base bottom rim. See last photo. Measures 6.75 inches high, 5" diameter. Dates circa 1920's.

This lovely clothes brush has a sterling top patterned with the classic Art Nouveau Swirling tresses and flowers. The brush is marked F & B for the Theo. W. Foster & Bro. Company of Providence RI. This company was incorporated under that name in 1898 and was among the largest manufacturers of jewelry & sterling silver vanity goods in the Art Nouveau period. The brush is 5 ½" X ¾" and dates from 1900-1910.
