A beautiful 19th C. Chinese red cinnabar lacquer lid box is carved with a scene of two elderly sages in a rocky landscape with trees. The sides are carved overall with a diamond pattern. 19th century Chinese cosmetic Carved box, handle and bronze motif on the lid. Size: Measurement are L: 5 1/8, W: 3 1/8, H: 2 3/4 inches. Condition Report: Good condition.

An antique Japanese Cha Tansu (tea chest) made entirely of Rosewood (Shitan). Beautiful configuration of sliding doors, shelves and drawers. Each display shelf has an arabesque border and the center and top shelf have a horizontal scrolling design. The top, back and sides all have floating panels and the chest has an open air design with areas for storage.

A rare example of large bowl for research and study, decorated outside with incised of fruits pattern in turquoise glaze, inside with sacrificial red ground incised to the centre with charming peach pattern. Da Ming Xuan De Nien Zhe within double circle and of the period. Condition broken into 9 pieces then re-glued without no any missing. Diameter: 31 cm and Height: 12 cm.

Japanese box made of boxwood carved in the shape of a giant clam shell upon which sits an arhat. His robes are beautifully decorated with gold maki-e lacquer. He holds a sharp tool as if he may attempt to open the enormous shell. Meiji Period (1868-1912).

Antique Japanese blackwood netsuke carving of a Hanna Noh theatre mask, with piercing gilt eyes and teeth, pointed ears and two short horns. The Hannya (般若) mask is a mask used in Noh theater, representing a jealous female demon. It possesses two sharp bull-like horns, metallic eyes, and a leering mouth. The backside of the netsuke has a calligraphy inscription / signature.
