Song Dynasty 'Henan' black and iron-oxide glazed Meiping pottery vase or jar. Oval form with high shoulders and small mouth with loop handles on either side. The almost abstract design of two large flowers is freely painted. Lovely rich black glaze on buff color pottery. Unglazed circular foot with glazed inset bottom.

The lady wears a challenging dress, baring her shoulders and bosom. She has an imposing hairdress with flowers, and a flirting facial expression. She carries a large can for wine in her hand, and is standing on a round plint...

The lady wears a large thick robe and has an imposing hairdress. She is wearing a purse front of her chest and is standing on a round plint. She is glazed in tourqouise and dark blue colours.

Nicely painted facial details, careful thick glazing and a fine expression.

Ivory manju netsuke with inlays in the Shibayama technique depicting one of the seven Deities of good luck: Fukurokuju 福禄寿, god of knowledge and long life. Ivory okimono, depicting a farmer with an Onagadori rooster and a child on his shoulder offering food to the rooster. The sculpture, carved from a single block, is finely engraved with details of the rooster's feathers and kimono. The Hōzan signature is engraved on red lacquer under the base. This is a japanese antique indigo dye cotto tsutsugaki futon cover.It is a design of plovers, waves and family crests.Hand-spun, natural indigo-dyed cotton that is thick and has a very nice texture.There is a very light stain, but it is not noticeable. It is 9.45 inches (24 cm) tall measured with handle up and 5.11 inches (13 cm) tall measured with handle down by 7.09 inches (18 cm) wide. It is 1950 gram. It will hold 1400 (ml) CC of water.

It is tarnished and has oxidation, rust, rubbing of gold, cut marks at the rim at the underside of the lid, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...
