An antique Japanese merchant money storage box made entirely of Suginoki (Cryptomeria) wood. Single drawer with hand forged iron hardware including the Warabite handle. Used by a merchant to keep coins, IOU's, and yen currency for daily business use. Original iron corner reinforcements adds strength and durability to this box.

This Ganesha has his trunk turned to the left, and it is strongly advisable for worshippers to keep left sided Ganesha statue at home. They are believed to be representing Ida Nadi (lunar energy) with its moonlike nature and feminine energy with a cooling effect...

Tall Chinese Song dynasty brown glazed tapering form horizontal ribbed vase. The glaze was poured into the interior while the top shoulder of the jar was left unglazed. 14” high. Circa 13th century. The unglazed base has significant grit adhering from the kiln which causes the vase to be slightly slanted and a bit unstable. There are small chips along the rolled mouth. The form of this vase would eventually develop into the better known meiping vase...

A Nice black-glazed jarlet, decorated in lobed form body and two ring handles attached at the shoulder. Chinese 13th-14th century. Condition is perfect except glaze degradation because found from the river. High: 8cm and body diameter: 9cm.

The letters made of copper plates originally attached to a votive wooden tablet dedicated from its worshipper named Yamato Sue to the Miyoshi-jinja shrine in Akita prefecture. Meiji period (1868-1912). Letter of Kami (God): approx. 11 x 13cm (4.33 x 5.11in). Besides, as seen the last three photos, changeable to "God of Clay", "Eros", and "Excellent luck" by free anagram arrangement...

This is a japanese antique 1920-1940 cotton Buddhist Shugensha hanten coat worn by Shugen practitioners who practiced Shugendo. Shugendo is a unique Japanese religion that combines Buddhism, Shinto and the worship of nature (mountains). It has some light stains , but is in very good condition. A Martavan Jar made in Thailand or Burma with a cream glaze on the upper body over a reddish stoneware body, The lower half of the jar is not glazed, and there are two lugs on the jars' shoulder. The jar measures about 12 1/2" tall x 11" in diameter, and it is heavy, about 12 lbs. The Jar dates to the 16th/17th Century and was purchased in Indonesia. The condition is very good, but it has a very worn and pitted bottom commensurate with age...

A fine quality smaller bronze figure of Vishnu, South Indian, perhaps Tamil Nadu, c. 18th. century or even earlier.
