A set of 5 Japanese karimata arrow collection. Forged iron, mounted on steel plates and armature wire.
The forked arrowhead (karimata) was named after its resemblance to the V-formation flight of wild geese. Such arrows of different sizes were highly prized on the battlefield and for hunting large game. Circa 1850, hand painted blue and white Chinese porcelain stem dish with owner's mark. Very good antique condition. Some "flea bites" around the lip with a small chip on underside. Measures 2.25" high, 4" diameter.
Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 A.D.) blue and white Porcelain vase of cylindrical form slightly tapering to the trumpet lip. Finely hand painted underglaze in a vibrant tone of cobalt blue, with two dragons, pursuing flaming pearl amidst flames and the clouds.
Base, marked with hand painted in underglaze blue with a six-character mark.

19th century Chinese bangle bracelet of classical shape made out of transparent citrine colored Peking glass. Excellent color, occasional bubbles inside the material typical for the period. Beautiful patina and slight wear to the surface, overall in excellent condition. Inner diameter 76 mm (2 15/16 inches), outer diameter 3 1/2 inches. Part of a small Massachusetts collection of Peking glass.

19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved in ball shape with elegantly pierced lace patterns and concentric circles around its equator. Wonderful design, very clear carving, metal liner to the central hole. Height 11/16 inches.
Charming Chinese antique painting of a brown and white Pekingese dog, very beautifully painted with attention paid to every strand of hair. The dog crouches with tail up as if ready to play. The scenery is grassy with rocks and cymbidium orchids. Painted in ink and mineral colors on paper. 19th century.

Original hand forged iron hardware including the Kakute style handles and the decorative front drawer corners. Rare Japanese circular jingasa with a gradual domed top, made of iron and decorated with a dragon flying in raised, billowing clouds. The dragon's eyes are of inlaid gold, the rim of the jingasa is bronze and the dome's top has a copper ring tama buchi. The underside is lacquered red.

Late 19th century netsuke of a peasant seated on a bundle of firewood smoking a pipe and helping to light the pipe of the other man with a rain hat. Old loss to the smoking parts of both pipes, Very good carving, great faces, multiple inlays to their clothes. Signed CHIKUZAN on inlaid lacquer plaque on the bottom - there is an artist who signed with these characters listed in NETSUKE by Neil Davey (p. 453, number 147), but I am not sure it is the one who carved this netsuke...
Beautiful pair of white and green Peking glass vases from circa 1900. Peking glass is chinese overlay glass that has been carved. Traditional Chinese water scene with ducks, swooping birds, and lotus flowers in green on white ground. Measures 10" high 3" diameter at base. Previously used as a pair of lamps. Late 19th/ early 20th century.
Kawaguchi Bunzaemon Basse Taille Silver Vase Marked, circa 1900's
It is 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) tall by 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) wide.
It has black spots at the enamel, a small spot of tarnished enamel underneath the opening with enamel cracks, and surface wears and scratches. It also has tarnished metal and dents at the metal's bottom's rim (as seen in the photos).
