This is fine example of a white nephrite jade Thumb Archer's Ring, with a Taotie theme: symbols and figures carved in high relief all around the surface of the ring. It was apparently used to some extent because it shows a few very small impact scars on its edges, as well a hairline crack on its outside surface, but it is in solid condition, with well defined carved symbols . Other similar examples date to the Chinese Qing period.

An antique Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) made of kiri (paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware including stylized gumbai handles. Two sliding kiri wood panels framed in black lacquer over two large drawers for safe keeping of inventory. Iron drawer corners feature raised seed pods suggesting this chest originated in the Yonezawa region of Japan.

A pair of Chinese enameled porcelain plates, having butterfly and Buddha's hand citron decoration on a turquoise ground, with six-character Jiaqing reign marks to the undersides. Size; Diameter of each plate is 6 7/8 inches and both items are in great condition with no imperfections.

Chinese wooden hand carved mask of a smiling man, its jaw left open so that the wearer had an easier time speaking. An antique Japanese Ikebana basket in a Cornucopia open flared mouth design tapering to a four post square base. Finely woven using a two tone caramel colored split bamboo with binding weaves forming frogs and turtles. Each post has inset caterpillar weave and the base has a cross slatted split bamboo that was signed by the artist. The handle is comprised of three delicate bamboo branches each of differing sizes representing a child, an adolescent, and an adult...

Finely detailed Japanese brown lacquer box measuring 6 inches across and 2.5 inches high. Featuring a shell motif, this octagonal box is in excellent condition. This box is just wonderful and we guarantee you will not be disappointed. Circa 1850.

A large and heavy, partially gilded, Mandalay style marble Buddha finely carved in 19th Century Burma (Myanmar). Chinese qingbai porcelain bowl, egg shell thin body with pale celadon crackle glaze. The well of the bowl incised with two swimming fish over waves, the edges slightly lobed, the rim left in buff. The exterior body is ribbed down to the short foot, and the base of the foot slightly recessed and left in buff.

Tall late 18th to early 19th century wooden netsuke of a standing emaciated sennin wearing a tattered robe and leaf skirt and cape and holding onto a very long staff with gnarled top. Awesome face, wonderful knobby scull, beautiful rendition of his hair, ribs and limbs. Wood is lacquered in Negoro style - gold lacquer over red, so as the netsuke wears the color of a lower layer starts showing. Very beautifully done himotoshi on the back, superb wear and patina, very impressive sculpture...

This is a very fine Qing Dynasty period, well-hallowed Dendritic Chalcedony Snuff Bottle of circular bulbous form, with a high neck, a flat wide lip, and an oval foot rim surrounding a shallowly recessed flat foot. The translucent stone has an abstract mottled pattern of brown and white macaroni and eye forms surrounding bursts of white and cream colored patterns on one side, and a mushroom-like silhouette made up of brown dots on the reverse, over a grayish tone ground...
